About The Film Shilo, slang for "debt collector", is the story of a young boy, Franco, whom leaves his small farm in Italy after a traumatizing event. He immigrates to America, seeking the woman whom left him behind while finding a way to pay her family's debt to a local mafioso. Along with his childhood friend, Dino, Franco begins working for an organized crime family in the states only to realize the debt is more complicated than first perceived...the film is based on true events.
How We Plan To Do It We are currently in pre-production and trying to raise additional funds to begin principal photography on our feature film "Shilo." We are planning to begin shooting in Sardinia, Italy and New York City this summer. The script is written, storyboarded and all elements are in place for what we believe will be a very cool film.
Funds The funds will be used for equipment rental, transportation, sound & cinematography costs, and post-production expenses. There will be NO fee for the writer/director, Stefano, and all lodging will be arranged so as to minimize costs and maximize funds for the camera equipment and principal photography (ie: I'm sleeping on plenty of couches). The film currently has a 30-day shooting schedule, 15-days in Italy and 15-days in New York City...and we couldn't be more excited!
