About this project
The year is 1948 and the United States has a new enemy, The Phantom
Shadow. This dark figure has diabolical plans for captured scientist,
Dr. Hammond, and his War Department weapons of mass destruction. Upon
the Phantom Shadow launching a treacherous missile attack on key
locations in the United States, the government takes action.
There is only one man to call, Agent 236, an elite
government agent. Agent 236 has been dispatched to launch a rescue.
Along the way, Agent 236 is befriended by a spunky,
sarcastic, gas station attendant who just happens to have pinup girl
good looks. She also just happens to be looking for a little action, and
excitement. Luckily, Agent 236 is the man of her dreams. Agent 236 puts
the station attendant and her tow truck into service in pursuit of the
Why Are We Raising Money?
After spending the bulk of my personal savings, we are still short of completing our movie. We need to rent a vintage 1940s tow truck, a green screen stage, and bring our cast and crew to our final shooting location in Pahrump, Nevada. In addition to this we have post-production costs to consider.
We have 75% of our movie's footage in the can. The last 25% is unfortunately the most expensive.
As our way of saying thank you, we are offering rewards. Assuming we reach our funding goals, all of the rewards will be sent out January 12th of 2012. The exceptions being movie credits, and the final DVD. These rewards will arrive approximately in May of 2012. (As soon as post-production has been completed.)
Once our project has been completed, we intend to submit it to many film festivals. More importantly we hope to use this short film as a launch pad to a feature length film with the same characters. Ideally we would like to shoot 3 feature length movies with these characters, and situations. Most importantly, we want a showcase to demonstrate the talent of our cast and crew.
These characters and situations are the culmination of almost one decade of work. They had their origins in comic book proposals. I have spent the last three years, in many cases working without a crew, assembling props from scratch, and acquiring our initial footage. This has been a labor of love, passion, and limitless tenacity. As anyone who knows me will attest, I always finish what I start.
Thank you for stopping by our project's page, and we hope you can find it in your hearts (and wallets) to help us in this endeavor!
