About this project
WarPok is a game that mixes different elements of the classic card games of war, hi-lo, stud poker, dice and a little bit of lady luck. WarPok is a game that can be played with 2 to 10 players.
The game can be played with 2 players and one deck but ideally it is best played with each player having his or her own WarPok deck. It is a fun, easy family game that can be played with kids 8 and up. Technically, it is educational too as it helps with adding and understanding odd and even numbers for the kids. However, you can incorporate it into your adult poker parties as well.
A WarPok deck is not like your typical deck of cards. Each deck has 55 cards numbered between 1 to 10. The deck consists of 10 ones, 9 twos, 8 threes, 7 fours, 6 fives, 5 sixes, 4 sevens, 3 eights, 2 nines and 1 ten card. There is also a rules card in each deck used for each round of play.
The object of the game is to capture a certain number of points from your opponent(s).
The game is played in rounds. A game can last a few rounds or several. A typical 2-4 person game can last 15 to 30 minutes.
Each player has to put a card up for "sacrifice" each round and the dice are rolled to determine how the round is played. One die tells you how many cards you will challenge your opponent(s) with and the other refers to a rule number that must be followed in order to win the round.
As players win a round, he or she collects the cards of their opponent(s) that were up for sacrifice and are awarded the points. The first person to win the predetermined amount of points agreed upon by all players at the beginning of the game wins.
For those of you who have friends that like to cheat at card games and stack their decks it won't work with WarPok because you don't know how many cards are being played each round and you don't know if you need high numbers, low numbers, odd or even totals until the dice are rolled.
No lead is safe in WarPok! Just because you have a substantial lead in a game doesn't mean you will win....we have seen it happen!

In some of our backer levels we will be providing cards from our prototype decks. Think of them as little certificates of appreciation. We will be numbering each card and cataloging who receives them.
Special Limited Print Decks
We have some special edition decks we will be offering with this Kickstarter campaign only. Check our different backer levels for details.
Thanks for your consideration in our WarPok game project.
Risks and challenges
There are many card games being developed these days so we created WarPok to create a fun simple concept game with twist of unknown circumstances to help differentiate it from other table top card games.
We are confident in our manufacturer for production after a successful funding campaign. We created prototype decks with the same standards that would be used in the main production to be efficient with our production of the game for disbursement to backers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
