v/ essay explores the idea of visual experience through short narratives, following a nameless character as he passively observes his life moving in no particular direction due to the circumstances of his existence.
over the past year i have become interested in the idea of using visual experience as a way to simplify issues that i wanted to explore. these “visual experiences” have recently taken the form of short books. until now, i had only been producing one or two copies of each study, distributing the copies between peers and teachers, limiting the chance of actually observing the publication outside of an academic environment. while mass production has always been a goal, which would open up the possibility of working with distributors. this never seemed possible due to the fact that most of the books that i was making were created by hand, requiring lots of time, care, re-printing, etc…
this kickstarter will allow me to mass produce the first two volumes (which have already been finished) through a local print shop in baltimore. once the first two volumes are printed and distributed, it has the potential to become a self sustaining project, with each volume acting as funding for the next, i just need your help to get the ball rolling!

thanks again for your support and interest!
Risks and challenges
the only two obstacles once this is funded will be:
first, ensuring the books make it to the printers, and second, that the printed books can be properly distributed. however, for last couple months i have been spending time understanding the logistics of both phases and am incredibly determined to see the printed version make it to book stores.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
