as the final hour draws near... we want to thank you.

Dear VSWTPBook backers,

Thank you for being a part of the kickstarter to make a book about the Vista Sans Wood Type Project. We appreciate your financial contributions to the project, and those of you who have tweeted, emailed and posted to facebook. It was probably naive to do this fundraising over the holidays, but we were hopeful.

As the final hour draws near, it is realistic to say that we are not going to reach our $20,000 goal. We are bummed, as we are sure you are, but we do have a contingency plan that we hope you will support.

Our plan is to move forward with the book by streamlining the production costs (and calling in some favors). We hope to secure a printer, contributing authors (including essays by the artists) and photographer by the end of January. We will then work towards producing a mock-up of the book with draft content, designed-well and marketable.

We plan to be in production by the end of February, and before that, we will initiate another 'smaller' kickstarter.

How you can help:
1. Please send an email with both analog and digital contact info to contact@vswtp.org so that we can keep you informed about the project status. This will get you on our mailing list.
2. We just started a twitter account @vswtp for the project, please follow us.
3. Go to our facebook page, like it and keep in touch there.
4. If you know of any resources that would be advantageous to the book production, (i.e. printers or publishers), please let us know.

Thank you again for your support of this project. Although we may not have reached our goal this time, our enthusiasm for making this book is not diminished. We have learned an awful lot through this endeavor and are most appreciate of our backers!

Cheers, Tricia & Ashley.
