About this project
We’re Doctor Robert, the Beatles Tribute, from Crested Butte, Colorado. We’ve been learning and sharing and expanding upon the fine music of the Fab Four for the last four years, playing more than 200 shows in over 115 venues throughout Colorado and New Mexico. The response has been overwhelmingly positive—it has united young and old, those who knew they loved the music and those who thought they didn’t, the left and the right, the shy and the outgoing, the dancers and singers. We’re dedicated to sharing the joy of this music, but to keep it alive we need to travel. And herein lies the issue: we need a new (to us!) vehicle to do so.
One thing we love about living in our small isolated Rocky Mountain town is that we don’t have to drive much while at home. But the flipside is that to get anywhere else we need to cross many mountain passes (usually between 9,000 and 11,000 feet high), averaging 400-700 miles a weekend. This has been tough on the family vehicles we’ve been using. We need a reliable rig to get us to the gig—through the snow and wind and thin air of our home state and possibly beyond. Will you help us? We do not get a penny unless our goal is reached. There’s all kinds of awesome rewards if you click the donate buttons to your right. If you'd rather not receive anything but good karma that's grand too! Know in any case you're playing a critical role in keeping this music and project alive. We promise to keep pumping energy and life and ideas into some of the most creative and inspiring music ever written!

One last video to say thanks to our youngest fans for helping us out when we need it...
Risks and challenges
We haven't bought the vehicle yet, and suppose that that could be a challenge, finding the perfect rig for our Colorado mountains. However, we've researched our options and feel confident that we can find what we need. We plan to kick in more of our own money if need be. We understand that the costs don't end with purchase; there's insurance, tires, registration, etc.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
