It’s hard to tell the difference between sea and sky, between voyager and the sea. Between reality and the workings of the heart....

A surreal story set in Japan, Kafka on the Shore is a tale of growing up, finding yourself, and accepting the inevitable truths of life. Following the journeys of a 15-year-old runaway and an old man who speaks to cats, Kafka is a fantastical exploration of life’s big questions. When we find ourselves perpetually mid-confusion, mid-epiphany, Murakami’s epic narrative shows us that the best we can do is to hold on – keep the memories, beautiful and painful, and carry them with us as we push on through.

Your donations will help us put this beautiful story on it's feet, funding costumes that need to be bought, set pieces that need to be built, lights and sound equipment, and other necessary tools for our show. Every dollar you give goes directly to the production and helps us create the best piece of theatre we can!

Please share this Kickstarter with your friends. Every donation counts, even a simple retweet or "like" on Facebook gets us closer to our goal.

Thank you for your support!

Risks and challenges

This is a large undertaking as students. However, we have an excellent team who will be working very hard to make sure we buy the correct supplies and make sure that they are put to good use and we are very confident we can make it happen, especially with your help.
