Welcome to PLAYOFFS, The Playwrights' Center of San Francisco's now 18-year tradition of showcasing short plays by member playwrights. Our 2015 show won a TBA award for Outstanding Production of an Anthology, our 2016 show was a finalist for the same award, and last year's show is a finalist again! This November we present a collection of eight excellent short plays: six selected by audience vote during three preliminary rounds of readings, and two chosen by the production team. Ranging from lighthearted and comedic to intense and moving, these plays encompass a variety of genres and styles.
PCSF is a small nonprofit organization with a limited budget. We're seeking funds to help offset our production costs, which include:
- People (7 actors, 8 playwrights, 2 directors, plus designers, stage manager, and crew)
- Rental space (auditions, rehearsals, performance)
- Marketing (programs, postcards, posters, advertisements)
A donation of any amount gets you a social media shout-out and our deep gratitude for supporting local theatre. For more, you can get rewards, like autographed posters, commemorative t-shirts, and more.
PLAYOFFS 2018 runs Thurs-Sun. Nov. 8-18 at the Shelton Theatre Main Stage, 533 Sutter St., San Francisco. For tickets and more information, visit http://www.pcsfplayoffs.com.
