We’ve all experienced the trouble of plugging or unplugging our smart devices while driving, in the dark, or when in a hurry. MagCable is a revolutionary magnetic USB cable which makes charging easy!

1. A neodymium magnet provides magnetic power at a temperature as high as 200 degree Celsius. MagCable utilizes the highest class of magnet in the industry. This ensures the stability of MagCable over other existing cables
2. Reversible plug: either side of the plug can be connected to devices
3. Instant charging mode switching technology: charge your phone faster by clicking the switch button to turn off the data sync.

Risks and challenges
No project is without risk nor challenges; however, aMagic is determined to minimize them. aMagic started in 2009, and has been in the industry for 6 years. Our R&D team has over 10 years of experience in the industry, including the 6 years with aMagic. We have done all the necessary preliminary work prior to coming to Kickstarter.
We have been working on the MagCable and have built stable samples of it. The MagCable that you see in above video are real working prototypes with full functionality.

+ Adapter vs Cable: We are offering 3 models in this campaign. MagCable is not merely an adapter but an actual complete sealed cable in which mechanical robustness and usage simplicity are guaranteed. Even for our adapter version, consistent features of MagCable are mostly preserved.
+ Practicability: Having a rigid type of adapter will make the final connection a very long and clumsy charging tip. MagCable is designed based on simplicity. We have tried to minimize number of required components. Imagine having three components in a charging connection: an adapter tip, adapter, and a cable, this combination could loosen up easily. In our minimal version, we only require 2 components: adapter tip and a cable. Cable is connected to adapter tip directly. This would eliminate any connection issues between adapter and a cable. Our adapter version is designed with a bendable cable which minimizes the chance of lost cable connectivity.
+ Fast charge mode: Our mobile devices can actually be charged faster. Not many people are aware that their devices are not charging at the factory designated full speed as they are especially when people are using PC or non-original power adapter for charging. MagCable’s proprietary technology ensures that charging efficiency of every juice is maximized at the factory default full charging speed.
+ Instant change of charge and sync mode: It’s the world’s first magnetic cable that offers instant switching without having to re-plug or reverse the connection. Just stay MagCable connected as it is!
+ Dual sided informative LED: Not only a dual sided LED is provided in our generic versions of the cable, we do provide all the charging status information required during your charging. Eg. Slow charging, data sync, fast charging, not charging and fully charged are properly signaled.
+ True reversibility of the connection: Thanks to our smart design by our engineering team, we don’t have to limit certain features on each side of the connection. Our entire provided features such as fast charging and data sync can all be realized on both sides of the connection.

MagCable is just one of the products developed by aMagic Ltd. which has been doing research & development as well as production for over 6 years. We have done the pre-molding and batches of real engineering samples were out already for our ongoing research. The ID, mechanical, electronics, costing and practical factors have all been designed and adjusted in a way that the MagCable prototype is found to be a successful commercialized product. Over the past few years, we have been developing various innovative mobile power related accessories and we are selling with the brand aMagic in quite some of the countries already. We have full-time engineering and production teams established.

There are 3 models of MagCable we have,
+ MagCable - Micro USB Magnetic Cable (100cm)
+ MagCable - Lightning Magnetic Cable (100cm)
+ MagCable - Lightning Magnetic Adapter Cable (15cm)
Model 1 and 2 are cables with different adapters which are used for Android & Apple devices respectively.
Model 3 is an adapter for you to convert your current fixed Lightning cable into a magnetic connector cable for Apple devices -
There is a dedicated soft-touch button placed on the MagCable.
Its function is to enable the switching of fast charging mode and data sync instantly without having to swap it another cable or re-plug the cable in another orientation. -
MagCable has a smart light indicator showing any status information you will need during charging.
There are 4 modes defined:
+ LED is Off - There has no charging load
+ Slow Blink - Data sync mode (slower charge mode, current <=0.5A)
+ Fast Blink - Fast charge mode (output current is up to 0.9A for smaller sized phones and 1.5A for bigger sized phones)
+ LED Stays On - Device is fully charged -
It’s the beauty and unique feature of MagCable that it can be connected by both side of the cable while keeping fast charging and data sync working. Unlike some cables that only a specific side can be used for a certain purpose.

Not only with the proprietary neodymium iron magnet being used, the fine mechanical design, production technique and real life sample testing concluded this perfect structural body. The magnetic adhesive strength is tuned in a way that accidental fall off and yank protection are nicely compromised.

Other than the above points which are quite general, when it comes to our MagCable, we have the following ways to make it an advanced fast charge magnetic cable:
+ We have our dedicated way to turn your devices into fast charge mode which factory designated maximum charging speed of your phone is ensured; provided that the supplying power source has enough output current required by the device
+ The mechanical design and craftsmanship of the magnetic connector contribute a very crucial role to the successful of MagCable. From the contact area and contact spring constant to magnetic adhesive force and overall connector size, all are fine tuned and compromised in a perfect state to ensure the usability and durability of this product as a premium charging cable which we all use every day. -
