Week 2: We Have Great Blog Posts about the Campaign

Hi Everybody, 

 We’re in the second week of our campaign and we need to keep the needle moving. 

Think about it: when we’re successful, we’ll create great training, make it available online and it will be that much for easier for designers and developers to increase their skills to make products and services better for all of us. Be sure to share the news with your friends, family and colleagues. We need wide support to make this happen.

I want to bring your attention to a few posts out there about the campaign: 

  Jeffery Zeldman: "for all the sophistication and excitement of modern web design, accessibility remains the least-taught, least-understood, least-cared-about of all our new and classic best practices. Let’s help Knowbility change that." 

Mike Gifford: "Web developers are interested in accessibility, but often don't know how to learn more. Having practical how-to steps is so important for people to be able to evaluate problems in the user interface."

 Casey: "Because of things like this, I’ve been much more aware of all the pervasive technologies in Western/US-centric society that are inaccessible to various groups of people (which is utterly ridiculous honestly….)"

 PS: We did get the video with Martin on the front page set up with open captions, captions that are burned into the video so viewers don’t need to do anything to display them on the screen.
