Avalon’s Solo Adventure system
With the successful campaign for the backing of Avalon’s Solo Adventure system, we folks here at Avalon Games thought we would run a second campaign, this time to support the adventure books and possibly even produce more adventure books beyond what we had initially planned.
For those that missed the first run of ASA, Avalon’s Solo Adventure system is a way for you to play 5e D&D by yourself, where you get to control a party of adventurers as they seek out glory and great deeds.
The system is usable for anyone who:
* has ever wanted to play a solo 5e D&D adventure.
* has ever wanted to learn the rules for 5e D&D by playing a fully realized solo version of the game.
* has wanted to play a solo 5e D&D adventure that takes their characters from acquiring their first adventure at an inn all the way up to defeating their evil nemesis.
* has ever wanted to play a fully cooperative game without a Gamemaster sitting on the opposite side of the table.
* just has an hour or two and wants to play a game of 5e D&D.
It’s all here: the inns, the monsters, the treasures, the secrets, and the story!
We won’t go into too much detail here about this great solo game. If you want more information, have a look at our first campaign here on Kickstarter.
This time around, we are going to offer our great fans some of the planned adventure books at an even deeper discount than what you would have received with your initial support with first campaign for ASA.
As per the request of the majority of you great fans, we will be releasing, through these Kickstarter campaigns, these adventure books in waves. Each wave will allow Avalon to generate and release these great books is smaller chunks, but with all the books within a series.
Normally an Adventure Book for ASA would retail for $6.99. Those that backed the first campaign will receive an email when these books are released, offering it for $5.99. What we thought we would do here is create a Kickstarter that offers the adventures, in advance, at a price of just $4.00 each. So you, great fan, can get in early and at a greater savings than if you just wait around.
So then, what are we offering?
All the adventure books either follow a story line or are geared toward a set type of adventure. With the adventure books as an example, that fall into the Child of Destiny story, all work toward telling that story, with your characters being a part of the epic events.
If, however, you want to step away and just work as part of the town guard, we have books that deal just with those sorts of adventure. We even have a series of stand-alone, one-off adventures geared toward different character levels, so you can go off on a sidetrack adventure anytime you want.
Each adventure book comes with a great, full-color cover by one of our wonderful artists, and is fully detailed with encounters, maps, and choices, just like those adventure you found in the main game. All are fully bookmarked, of course, and come in a print-friendly version. You, the fans, as always are given permission to go out and have a copy printed up, should you like.
Here are the Books we will be releasing through the first wave.
Child of Destiny Series
This is a seven-book series, which will take place after the events detailed in the main adventure book for ASA. After the Black Prince is defeated, your four capable characters find they are truly heroes of the realm and treated as national treasures. The series will take your characters from their lowly beginnings to heroes of the realm, and see them travel the world as they seek to protect the Child of Destiny. These adventure books can take your four heroes as high as 10th level, so be ready for a blast of a time.

The Town Guard Series
This two-book series follows the four heroes after the events found in the main ASA adventure book, where the four have chosen to join the town guard of Firth. Solve mysteries, seek out justice, and protect the town from danger, both internal and external. There is truly a great time to be had within these two books.

Side Track Adventures, Book 1
These three books each offers several one-off adventures for your group of heroes. Need some experience to rise up to the next level—well, take on one of these great little adventures. Need something to do after completing one of the other adventure series” Here are exciting adventures just waiting for you to explore. The first book of adventure focuses on 1st to 3rd level characters, while the second book offers adventures for 2nd to 4th level characters. The last book is set for 3rd to 5th level characters and offers some truly great stuff.
We will be releasing the first of these books with this wave.

This time around, we will not be offering any stretch goals, but if you backers exceed the listed goal of $1,000, then we here at Avalon will start working on some new adventure books not listed, again offering them by email as they come available at a lower cost than listed for retail. In the end, we want to get as much stuff out to you fans as we can, so you can have endless adventures with ASA.

Risks and challenges
While this is Avalon Game’s second Kickstarter campaign, we have been around for a long time and produced well over a thousand PDF games. We have plenty of experience in generating this sort of gaming product line and we are sure we will be able to offer you, the backers, all we have promised and more.
If, for some reason, we are delayed in the release, we will keep you well informed and updated on what is going on. If we cannot release the product, you will be reimbursed for your backing, or given a series of games of your choice in compensation. We do not foresee this taking place, but it is our goal to keep all of you great fans happy, and will bend over backwards if we need to so we can see that all of you remain our fans.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
