Energysquare - always stay charged

Energysquare is a new generation of wireless chargers that will allow you to charge multiple devices at the same speed as classic chargers, just by placing it on an ultra-thin pad. No induction, no electromagnetic waves, we are using our own patented conductive charging technology!
Install a small sticker on your phone, put it on the pad, and its charging!
Energysquare is compatible with all smartphones and tablets having micro usb connectors (Android and Windows Phone), lightning connectors (iPhone) and usb type C !
The technology behind Energysquare is composed of two elements:
- A charging pad made of conductive squares inlaid into an insulating material. Each square is then controlled independently by our embedded system.
- A thin and adhesive sticker that you can plug into the device and stick to its back. There are two conductive dots on the sticker, which directly connect to the battery.
- When the equipped device is placed on the pad, the sticker's conductive dots connect with two different conductive squares of the pad. The pad starts charging the device as soon as the "physical" contact is established.
Unlike induction charging, there is no loss of energy. Several devices can be charged on wide surfaces simultaneously!
If you want to keep using a classic charger, you can just unplug the sticker temporally and plug it back in when you're done!

The lightning connector will be easy to remove so you can keep charging with a classic charger. As you can see, the two conductive dots of the sticker are directly integrated in the case:
Next stretch goal: a new collection of stickers!
The sticker has been beautifully designed to fit any type of modern smartphone. You'll get to choose between dfferent sizes and colors before shipping!
It is manufactured to resist everyday use:
- The pad features a smart sleep mode to prevent any power waste when no devices are connected.
- It becomes active once two squares are connected to a device!
- When the device is fully charged, the pad detects it and stops charging.
During the past year, we've build 4 different versions of energysquare:
First version: the whole embedded system in a box, handmade pad:
Second version: Everything embedded in a table!
Third version: everything embedded in a pad, 1,5cm thick
Fourth version: final prototype, ultra-thin and ready for industrialization!

A few months ago, we joined the Paristech Entrepreneurs incubator for 18 months. Its a hardware specialized incubator that helped us finding the right people on our way to industrialization!
And we are just finishing the NUMA acceleration program: the top French startup accelerator!

Charging smartphones and tablets is just the beginning: the more compatible objects exist, the more value for you!
As our objective is to let any connected device be energysquare compatible, we created an open source standard that allows any device manufacturer or technology enthusiastic to make "energysquare compatible" products.
SquareOne and SquareTwo are already tailored to deliver enough power for laptops or portable speakers!
That's why we are on Kickstarter: we need your support to build this wireless future!
Riesgos y desafíos
As a hardware project, we are aware that there will be challenges of manufacturing, production and shipping. We promise to combine the passion and experience of our team to meet these challenges, and to keep you always informed of our progress.
We are embeded system engineers, and the electronic part is finished and tested. We got our BOM and know where to source all the components.
We're working closely with the best French design and industrialisation office, which has its own factory in China. They are helping us on materials and industrialisation process.
Most importantly, we’ve already given out the first Energysquare pads to real people, families, offices; and the feedback we got from these user testing allowed us to build a product tailored to answer your needs.
We are excited to get energysquare into your hands!
