Latest E370 info, please read!
This update has a lot of information, some 'good' and some 'bad'. Please read it carefully, and if you have questions please email me directly at: synth1@airmail.net
1 - I am pushing out the delivery schedule ~ 4 weeks from the original 'mid-October' date. This is for several reasons as follows:
a) The hardware and software will not enter beta until the last week of Sept. I want to have at least 4 people, each spend several weeks testing all the functions, which there are many.
b) I have orders for all the existing modules to ship to dealers, and need a "gap time" to start that process (which will continue during the E370 beta)
c) There are a few things in the E352 Cloud Terrarium that need minor SW changes, which I want to carry over to the E370
d) WaveEdit is now in beta (so go grab a copy at www.synthtech.com) and that still needs some 'polish' before the official release on Oct 15th.
2 - But now for the good news:
a) The pc board set looks to be 100% operational at Rev 1
b) The E370 debut at KnobCon this past weekend was a great success. In fact, 2 bugs were uncovered and 1 has already been fixed.
c) the front panel mechanics (alignment, hole sizes, all that really exciting stuff) is fixed and I can start the process of ordering production panels. Remember, if you want a black panel substituted for the standard silver, you have until Oct. 15th to order on at: www.synthtech.com/shop
If you want a REALLY GOOD overview of what the E352 can do/"sounds like", which can be thought of as 1 E370 Voice (with 1 added output), please spend the 44min and watch the video.
I wish (and we all wish) I could ship sooner, but I want to be sure you get a rock-solid firmware release that is stable and sounds great "right out of the box".
Lastly: if anyone on the update list was not a KS backer, and still wishes to pre-order, contact me at the email address above *before* Oct. 1st.
