About this project
Meat Me in Plainville is the newest project for up-and-coming production company Greth Productions, whose past projects include Thy Kill Be Done, Monster of Mad Mooney's Lake, Always Say Aishiteru, and Cinemazing.
This film takes place in an alternate present where cannibalism of human meat is not only socially acceptable, but it has become the normal meat product for the everyday person. It is the story of a man and his daughter in the small town of Plainville spanning from the day before until three weeks after a ban on human meat. The two must fight their personal addictions and escape a town full of their mad cannibal neighbors.
With this project, we are mixing elements from science fiction, black comedy, horror and charging it with a scathing social commentary on suburban life and social extremism.
The budget we raise will serve to pay for all of the expenses to make the film - from production design and transportation to extra film, processing, and transfer through post production, giving us money to make DVDs, digital masters, and festival submissions.
All size donations are extraordinarily helpful! Even if you can only donate $1, please do! Support our project and independent film!
