About this project
It’s a Voyeuristic feast, when a wild bunch of Online Media Stars are trapped together in a party house for 24-hours of LIVE (undead) crazy fun and even crazier drama. In order to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, the stars are turning to their awesome fans, and the Kickstarter community, to participate in a unique interactive experience. The Real-time event will be performed over LIVE broadcast apps like Periscope and YouNow, among others. There are plenty of fun activities scheduled, but much of the adventure will come from the secretly plotted, twists and turns, for the stars to react to. There will also be many surprises that come out of the unique circumstances, and fans interactions that no one can predict.
There is no avoiding it. Beginning on April 9, 12:00PM PST (3PM EST), there is going to a Zombie Apocalypse! For 24-hours the dead will rise from their graves hungering for flesh and brains. They are headed toward the Los Angeles house of YouTube Stars Brian Redmon and Tom Phelan. Smart people would be trying to get out of town, but they are YouTubers and can’t resist the opportunity to invite over a bunch of their online friends for some jump outta your skin SCARES. And turn the whole exciting situation into a LIVE interactive social media experiment!
The fans get to hang out, play party games and engage the stars in “choose your own adventure” scenarios. There is going to be several broadcast streams going through the complete 24 hours.
The guest list includes:
Also scheduled to come by:
Over the next several days we will be announcing many other awesome online stars that will be fighting through the Zombie hoards, just dying to join in on the interactive fun. If any of them get bit they will be infected and turned into Zombies themselves . . . and will need to be destroyed!
Here’s how it works:
This is a true interactive experience!
There are several LIVE streams going on for all 24 HOURS. You can switch between and engage with the various stars broadcast; you can check out what’s going on in different rooms at the same time. This is truly LIVE so you never know when a Zombie will break-in, or a fight will break out between the party guests. You will have the power to see the same scenes from different guests perspectives.
Currently, the plan is to use: YouTube. YouNow.
You can watch and participate on any level. Fans who donate will have special priorities to play along and be allowed access to VIP activities.
You can check in on the action for as long, and as often, as you like during the 24-hour period.
Schedule of Events:
The live feed begins on April 9th 12PM PST (3PM EST) when the dead rise and the first group of online stars run to take cover in the relative safety of Tom and Brian’s place. It is up to them, and their faithful dog Blue, to keep the Living Dead out for 24 hours, until the Zombie Apocalypse will end one way or another, on April 10th 12PM PST (3PM EST)
The gang pushes the furniture over to block the door and board up the windows. Once they feel secure they go out to the fenced off backyard, and strip down to their bathing suits for interactive pool activities. Several apps will be rolling as the gang plays games like “Mark Polo,” pool basketball, and water war. The audience will be coaching the teams and taking bets on whom the winners will be.
At sunset there will be a Brain Burger BBQ (well not real brains, but we like to keep in the spirit of the things). The fans that claimed those perks will be hanging out partying and trying to survive along with the gang.
That night, the stars include the audience in playing party games like “truth or dead” and “would you rather make out with a zombie or . . . ” At midnight the gang and the fans will be treated to an exclusive screening party of the original Zombie Classic, “Night of the Living Dead” with LIVE interactive, silly commentary. This will make the Zombies outside really jealous. They love that movie! Most of the gang will probably pass out from all the fun and Zombie fighting of the day. Sleeping must be taken in shifts, so that there will always be someone on the lookout for danger, and the fans will always have some of the stars to interact with. Late night Jacuzzi anyone? But be warned: All hell can break loose at any moment! In the morning, some of the stars will wake up with the California sunrise knowing that they only have a few more hours to go before the Zombies get tired and go back to their graves. No better way to wait it out then over a survivor brunch. There will be lots of interactivity recapping the night, and sharing about the next exciting “Social Exchange” project for the fans to get involved with.
The Money We Raise will go to:
House Rental: Shhh, Tom and Brian don’t actually live there, but they think they do. (25%)
Food and Beverages: We have a lot of mouths to feed of the living. And Zombie fighting can build up a mighty thirst. (15%)
Zombie Performers. The Undead gotta get paid or they’ll crawl back into the grave and we can’t have a Zombie Apocalypse without ‘em. (15%)
Makeup: Even Zombies want to look good. And for the living, well they want to look good, too. (10%)
Props: Foam based weaponry. (We want to stop the Zombies, but safety first. Water toys, etc.) (10%)
Shooting and Editing for the downloadable documentary of the event, that will feature exclusive material that was too hot, even for the live stream. (15%)
Safety: Just in case anyone gets accidentally eaten. (10%)
If we exceed our goal:
More of everything, especially Zombies and scary effects!
If the campaign raises over 10K we will double up and extend to a 48-HOUR LIVE broadcast! Some of the stars have committed to being there for the full stretch. The fans will get to, interactively, be a part of a final, all out battle that will rage overnight, when our heroes finally defeat the Zombies. Then, the remaining survivors will hit the beach for sexy fun in the sun. We will get waterproof phone cases so we can take the fans into the ocean with us!

Risks and challenges
Since we are a real time production we cannot account for highly unlikely catastrophic weather events. Also the cast is subject to change in the event of an unforeseen emergency (besides a zombie apocalypse) or illness. However, with that being said we have already secured the key elements to make this incredibly unique project become a reality. And our cast list is growing with more and more creators by the day!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
