The Coins Have Shipped

Sandra Tayler here, posting the shipping update since this is my area of expertise. Howard is busy creating more Schlock Mercenary.

All the coin orders are shipped.* This means that your coins are on the way. US orders should arrive in about a week. International orders can take as long as 3 weeks, though most will arrive before that. Questions or concerns about individual orders should be address to and I'll do my best to sort it all out.

*We do have about 100 orders not shipped because the owners of those coins have not yet gone over to to give us their mailing addresses.

When all was said and done there were:

2395 packages
20,033 coins
270 work hours

Most frequently asked questions:

Yes the Maxim 34 coin is supposed to have epoxy on only one side. This is because the glow in the dark finish of the other side works much better when not covered in a dome. The Maxim 11 Key Drop also has the dome on only one side, though in that case it is so you can feel the crater.

Yes we will put the coins into our regular Schlock Mercenary store. That will probably happen in late June or early July. We need to make sure we take good care of our kickstarter backers first. I will be spending the next weeks chasing down final addresses and resolving issues for customers whose shipments need extra attention. Then I need to catch up on all the other work that fell behind during the weeks when all of my work hours were absorbed by shipping coins.

If you have a question about your order, or about any aspect of this kickstarter project, the best address is Any messages sent through the kickstarter system are getting forwarded to me there anyway.

We have not forgotten our promise to put together the Unofficial Anecdotal History of Challenge Coins pdf. With shipping done, I can begin editorial work on that project. We expect it to take six months or more before the pdf is ready to release.

This concludes our coin shipping broadcast. Many thanks to everyone who backed the project. Your support and enthusiasm have been amazing.

@RadioSophia (and anybody else who hasn't gotten their order) -- Please, please, PLEASE email with your info. We've still got your stuff. If you don't have it, it's because we never got your address.

Still have not received my coins.

      Wow...well worth the wait.

Yes, I was one of *those* people, who held off on completing his order due to a personal issue. Got one of each of the coins...all are delightful. Absurdly designed and beautifully executed! (Some are better looking that some of the 'real' coins in my collection...) Tip o' the hat, Howard, to you, Sandy and your minions.

Again, well worth the wait--thank you all so much!

My coins arrived safely in Norway today!

The glue dots had long since given up, though. Maybe sticky tape would be better?

I just opened my package of coins, I am so happy. All the coins are much better quality than I expected and I had pretty high expectations.

Coins have safely navigated the bureaucracy that is the US-Canada border. All passengers have arrive correctly. Some movement during shipping but that is probably because no glue dot could stand up to the mass of my order.

Arrived in Newcastle on Saturday. Series 1, 607. I guess mine must have been in the first wave because I can't see how it made it to Britain in less than a week.

Unless Howard has a working teraport of course....

I know I am SUPER late, but I finally watched the KS video at the top. I was unaware the way to say Tagon was Tay-gon. It also helps with the "Hickam AFB coin" in the description of the campaign :)

Keep up the excellent work, Sandra and company! :)

Got my coins yesterday, and they're beautiful! I think the keydrop is my favorite, it graces my keys as we speak.
Holy cow that bottle opener is huge! I wasn't expecting it to be quite that big. Howard talked about carrying it around in his pocket, I'd say you're going to need pretty big pockets for that.

I am pleased to report that my coins arrived before yesterday. I love how the ship coins and the rest turned out. :)

In the interest of science, about four of the fifteen coins had escaped their bags. All present and accounted for, just a little jumbled.

I got my monkeys, and awarded my first one last night to a friend, who then showed it off to a lot of people. I was surprised at how heavy they were!

I'll probably need more later, so I'm glad they'll be in the store.

I have my awesome coins, but it seems I need more monkeys!

Looking forward to them being in the store!

      TaylErs, I know better. [headdesk]

    22. Corgi on June 5, 2013

I too have received my coins, in perfect condition even though the stickies got kind of jumbled up. They're beautiful - I have the shipcoins stacked on my desk at work, I gave the monkeys to my longsuffering sarcastic English supervisor, and the rest are tucked away at home. Thank you very much for such an interesting project, Taylors!

I guess I'm posting about a week late. I received my coins last Thursday. While I thought that the artwork for the various coins were cool, I was not prepared for the reality! THEY ARE AWESOME!! And the 7-23 tool is HUGE! as the first Kickstarter thingie that I've ever participated in, it was fun AND worth it! Thank you very much!

"US orders should arrive in about a week."
How DARE you claim that! My order already arrived and now you tell me it will be up to another week of waiting?!? ***OMINOUS HUMMMM***
Oh, right, that means that I've, um, already got them... Uh, carry on then. I'll just be over here hiding my Strohl after introducing it to its matching coin.
