Shuffle Heroes is a fast-paced card game for 2 players set in a dark fantasy steampunk world filled with Lovecraftian monstrosities. In the game, you draft two heroes with unique abilities and shuffle their cards together - this forms your draw deck. The aim of the game is to defeat enemy heroes either by killing them or wearing them down. You can destroy your opponent's cards from his deck, so you strongly influence what he will draw in his next shuffle - so-called deck deconstruction.
The world is in transformation. Science combined with magic started rapid industrial revolution. We abandoned old traditions and replaced them with recklessness and greed. The rise of magic brought more to this world than anyone expects. Horrific creatures from other realms found their way here to destroy our lives. Empire ruled by power mongering oligarchs is oblivious to any signs of doom and continues to mine deeper, pollute what is left of our nature and succumb to petty conflicts. What will happen if the only guardians of this world will turn their backs on humanity? Will horrors from dark corners of the universe torn our fragile home apart?
You can anticipate more stories from Shuffle Heroes universe to be released during the campaign.
There are 6 different heroes in the game each with his unique mechanics represented by a deck of cards.
Each game, you draft two heroes and shuffle their cards together, forming your draw deck. This provides a lot of possibilities for different deck combinations while keeping the deck construction fast and easy.
The gameplay is pretty straight-forward. During your turn, you either play a card, activate your hero or replenish your hand. However, when played right, you can chain effects together with devastating outcomes.
Your ultimate goal is to defeat enemy heroes either by reducing their health to zero or wearing them down by destroying cards from their deck.
One of the main mechanics in Shuffle Heroes is the so-called deck deconstruction. All played cards stays in play for one round. During that time, you can decide to destroy them with the damage you would otherwise deal to one of the enemy heroes. This decision heavily influences what your opponent can draw in his next turns.

Jan Vaněček is the creator of the Shuffle Heroes. He has been geek for games since his youth and now for many years he was cooperating with CBG on many board games and last year published crazy board game McJohny's.
Hana Novotná is the graphical designer for Shuffle Heroes. While not her main specialization originally, she already made graphical design for three board games.
Jakub Těšínský is one of the founders of Czech Board Games. He has devoted his time to improve games and help starting Czech game authors. He has cooperated on over ten board games projects in the past.

Game is standalone, so you will find everything you need in one box. Game will be done in 3 languages variants: English, German and Czech. You will be able to choose your language after the campaign.
We will deliver the game ahead of Christmas.
If you choose Essen pick up, You can come by our booth anytime during the festival. This can be also used to pick up game at the Czech Deskohrani.
Risks and challenges
Our team is quite experienced so we will tackle any problems or delays head on. We are currently finishing all the illustrations and graphics for the game. Meanwhile we are still investing much effort into testing and balancing the game because there is always room for improvement.
Especially text on cards in all the languages needs to be polished.
