Recent updates

new bloggers, new interviews, new novel

Hey guys! It’s been a while since we used Kickstarter’s message blast, but we’ve got news.

The Understanding Campaign has been busy finding international bloggers and columnists to work together on news Arab/American and Muslim related stories. Our latest blogger columnist comes from London. His names is Toufic Beyhum, and he just wrote his first arts article for us this month.

We also have an exclusive interview with Salam Al-Marayati, the director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council. Their Spring Forward conference is happening in two weeks.

On the fundraising side, The Understanding Campaign donated $1,000 to the Iraqi student project, and we have been allowing their chapters to print our shirts for their own fundraising events. Check out the photos section for updates on their progress.

We’re also actively looking for more writers and artists to contribute to the website. You can contact us if you know anyone who might be interested.

We lost contact with Haneen for a bit due to the spotty Internet and phone lines during the elections in Egypt, but she’s is back online. We are very excited to announce that our novel is finally available for pre-sale here:

Eric Robert Parnes and the Understanding Campaign

Eric Robert Parnes ( http://www.ericrobertparnes.com/ ) created a Farsi version of Fhm for us and used it in a recent piece of his. We are beyond delighted to have him spreading the word.
