      Wow!! got mine a month ago. I can understand about the manufacturer flubs....its tough to find a decent one in the states now (sad). You are Da Man!!! it works just like advertised.

      Finally got around to using it. Does exactly what it was supposed to - shuts down the two devices, powers on one, waits, then powers on the other... all with a click of the dongle (nowhere as dirty an activity as it sounds).

      Nice touch on the dongle to have a slide cover on the power-cycle button - helps prevent accidental reboots.

      Another 2 months and still haven't received mine. What's worse is the lack of communication. I received an email in January asking where to send and that is the last I've heard.

      So the Jellybean finally arrived in Melbourne, Australia recently. I was excited to get it opened and up and running but I can't as the power plug is a Domestic US only version, same problem for the sockets to plug in the router and modem.
      Not impressed, Jellybean was very late, the design is significantly compromised and the International version can't be used in Australia.

      I know this is a simple device that does only one thing, but it would still be useful to have an actual written explanation of how it works. The LED switches from red to orange to green - what status does each color indicate?

      My Jellybean arrived in the mail today. I must agree with the commenter below who described the new design as 'early 80s Radio Shack' - cutesy jellybean stickers on the unit don't help the design at all. The wireless keyfob remote is not as cool as the original Bluetooth design using the phone. That being said, the visual aesthetic design for a power outlet is really not that important - it's not like I will be looking at it daily. Using the keyfob IS more convenient than the sneakernet alternative and the Jellybean automatically boots modem and router in the correct order anytime power is applied (such as after a power failure). While sitting on the couch downstairs, I was just able to successfully reboot modem and router, which are located upstairs! That's the intended purpose and on that front the Jellybean works great! Thanks Jim!

      I have to say that the design sucks! The main reason for backing this was the cool rounded design of the jelly bean shape paired with what it does. Now it hasn't got passed an early 80's radioshack design that is horrible...

      It would have been useful - and, really, kind of obvious - to provide an update on the one year anniversary of your funding. I've enjoyed backing a pretty broad variety of Kickstarter projects - US and international. This one has by far the worst communication and a year into the process, no verifiable indication of any progress at all. I'm still interested in the idea, and will buy this thing from a retail source if it ever gets produced. But I've lost interested in being a backer and would like my money back.

      A month since you were going to post an update, and within reach of a year since this project was funded. I'm sure you have a regular job and this sideline isn't your most important priority. I recently participated in funding a Kickstarter project that struggled to get going. The people who proposed it reached a point where they felt that they weren't going to be happy with the result and they canceled the project and refunded the money. Things don't always turn out as planned - are you thinking about an exit strategy?

      Roger & Raj,

      I was hoping to get the revised app before I posted a video update however that has proven to take longer than I expected. Right now we are getting our final bids from suppliers and updating how the device will look due to the flat nature of the PCB board and electronics. I will post a video soon showing the app and prototype that I currently have.

      Android app is going through second revision. Blue tooth module for 100 ft range cost a bit more than we were planning for. As soon as I get the updated app I will post a video update.

      Steve and Backers,

      I have received the working blue tooth prototype and I am currently testing the unit. Right now we are working on the logistics on how to best proceed with the plastic mold. The PCB Board is ready to go so we are right on schedule as far as that is concerned. I am wrapping up testing for the Android app - it still needs some cosmetic work but it functions well enough so far.

      Congratulations on your funding! I'm really looking forward to getting one of these. I live in New York and have a vacation rental in Savannah, GA. A couple of times a year the internet goes out, and I don't want to make the paying guests function as my tech support. The people that we have as manager/support staff are hopeless as technical people. So just being able to say "push the button" will be a tremendous help. I would also like to see an online access concept so I can reset myself from far away. I assume the app won't let me do that - needs a bluetooth connection i.e close to the unit?
