So, I’ve produced a LOT of art over the years, both for my comics and many other things. A lot of it in color. I’ve also put out a lot of books, but almost all of them have have been in black and white only. Even some images that have appeared in color in the comic online have been published only in black and white.
So I’d like to put that color art in your hands.
I’m proposing an art book containing more than 100 pages of large format images, 9 by 12 to be more specific.
There will be material from Building 12, Misfile, Steel Wing Shattered, and 6 Gun Mage. There will be promo art. There will be commissions, Ads I’ve drawn for other products and companies and Concept art. Much of it has never before seen the light of day.
Not enough? I’m also including an all new illustrated short story.
Still not enough? I’m also including notes and sketches on several upcoming projects I’ve been working on including what I hope will become the sequel to Misfile.
There will be a digital format. There will be a hands on physical format.
There will be prizes and merchandise, because I hate asking for money without giving YOU cool stuff in return.
So what do you say? Help me out with the cost of putting together this book and all the cool stuff I’d like to send to you with it.
Riesgos y desafíos
I'm most worried about finding the right vendors. I've got some quotes, but some past vendors, especially those from over seas, have come in quite a bit higher than their quote before, so that can be an issue.
I also don't have much experience with COLOR printing, so I suspect a lot of my art will need to be re-mastered and re-formatted for print, especially the older work.
