Hello Kickstarter my name is Brendon Nunes, in 1990 I created the Original Instrument Inspired Wrist Watch; A watch inspired by an Aircraft Altimeter. Many watch enthusiasts are beginning to acknowledge the true origin of the unique style/genre we created; The Instrument Inspired Wrist Watch. Staying true to our original design objectives to produce the most unique Aviation Inspired Watches available we introduce the ZULU-07 PRO.
Our goal with the project is to raise $15,000 so we can proceed with the production of this watch. We have already spent a significant amount of time and financial resources developing the prototypes and placing deposits to insure movement availability.
If we are successful in funding this project we will proceed with production immediately after the funds are received. Your support for this project will be greatly appreciated!
Inspired by Vintage Aircraft Clocks from the WWII era through the late 70’s, many of these clocks can still be found working in Aircraft Cockpits today. Our primary design objective of the ZULU-07 PRO was to retain as many of the design characteristics of the original Aircraft Clocks as possible, and to transform the design elements into a very unique and functional Aviation Inspired Wrist Watch. After many years in development we hope we have accomplished our objective...
The objective of this watch was to produce an aggressively styled mans watch inspired by aviation clocks dating as far back as the 1930's.
This is the largest watch I have designed so far coming in at 47 mm by 47 mm and with a thickness of 17.5 mm. The distance between the lugs is 24 mm. Because of the very unique case style and the watch not being square in design, it does not look nearly as large on the wrist as one might expect.
Crystal Placement: I decided to place the Sapphire crystal 2.5 mm below the bezel giving it additional protection in the event of any unforeseen mishaps.
Bezel: The style of bezel found on these aircraft clocks was of particular interest to me and was one of the key design features that drove me to develop this watch. I acquired several clocks of this style over the last few years and I just loved the look, feel and the pure utility and functionality I found them to have. This design features have been translated very well in the finished watch. The bezel is very easy to grip and the 120 click precision racket adds further utility and functionality to the watch.
Movement: This watch is powered by the New Miyota 9015 24 jewel automatic movement. This movement can also be hand wound and is a hacking movement. This means that when the stem is placed in the setting position the second hand stops so the watch may be synchronizing with other timing devices. The movement has a power reserve of more then 42 hours and a rated accuracy of -10 +30 seconds per day. The movement also features quick day correction and is shock resistant.
Crown & Lugs: The screw down crown is 9.5 mm in diameter with a heavy knurled pattern for comfortable grip. The wrist pins are 3 mm solid stainless steel and are secured with custom made slotted cap screws.

After gaining experience with our first Kickstarter Project we are fully aware that there can be many unforeseen delays in the production process. We are dealing with a dependable factory that has been in the watch business for more then 20 years. We depend on more than a dozen suppliers to bring this project together and we are very diligent in the quality control process. If any component is not up to our standards it goes back to the manufacturer until it meets our quality standards.
The production time for these watches will be approximately 120 days from the end of a successful Kickstarter Campaign. We expect to receive the watches here at our office in Ajax, Ontario, Canada sometime in July.
All watches will be inspected, tested and packaged here in Canada before delivery.

Risks and challenges
Trintec Industries Inc. has been in business since 1984 manufacturing and producing aviation inspired clocks and watches for more than 30 years.
We will be using a company that has a proven track record with us and a 20 year history in the watch manufacturing business. Even so there can always be hiccups when it comes to production. The largest risk to this project is will be the delivery of the movements to our factory. Since the tightening supply of Swiss automatic movements Japanese movements are in very short supply. We have taken the additional step of placing a deposit for movements in advance of launching this project to facilitate prompt delivery. We always insist on approving final samples before the production run goes into full swing to try to catch any deficiencies and solve any problems before delivery. If our campaign is successful we will keep all our backers up to date with the production and schedule.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
