Podcast Movement 2014 - August 16-17 in Dallas, TX
UPDATE #1: Four New Speakers Added
In August 2014, hundreds of past, present, and future podcasters will converge on the town of Addison, Texas for the first ever Podcast Movement. We want you there.
Podcast Movement 2014 will be THE gathering for anyone interested in podcasting. You can expect to find a place where not only will you leave motivated and inspired, you'll leave a BETTER PODCASTER.
What can you expect?
Attendees will have the opportunity to sit in on their choice of sessions, as a part of our Beginning Podcaster Track, that are aimed at helping new podcasters turn their creative ideas into podcasting realities. Sessions will cover a wide range of topics for those just starting out, ranging from technical setup demonstrations, to panels of podcasting coaches teaching you what makes their rookie students stand out, and everything in between. This will be the destination to help you get started.
We are also excited to be offering a second track: our Advanced Podcaster Track, where veterans of the craft can go improve on the foundation they've already built. We've secured some of the world's best podcasters to host sessions that will help those with experience take their show to the next level. Whether it's showing you unique equipment or software setups to add the missing element to your episodes, or teaching you professional level techniques that will help you stand out from the competition, you're guaranteed to learn how to make your show better.
And we'd be remiss to not talk about our keynote speakers who will take center stage to kick off each day. These hand selected guests will bring unique and interesting takes on the typical podcasting model, and help show you what it takes to set yourself apart from everyone else's noise.
If you are not already podcasting, or don't have the desire to begin podcasting, then this conference is not for you. We want our mission to be clear: If you have a podcast now, you'll learn how to raise the bar. If you've had the dream of getting one started, you'll learn how to pull the trigger. Only come to the Podcast Movement if you have the burning desire to improve and succeed.
Please help us make this event a reality. The podcast community needs it.
We have a number of ticket options to fit any budget, and some awesome bonuses that will only be available here. (Be sure to check out the Early Bird option if you're on a budget but don't want to miss the event).

This is the first (of what we hope to be many) Podcast Movements, and we want it to be a huge success. We know that we will need the support of the podcast community, and that is why we are sharing this with you. The more funding we secure, the better the conference will be, so we decided to use crowdfunding as a way to put together the best event possible.
Where will the conference be held?
We're excited to have secured the state of the art Addison Conference Centre for this year's event.
Addison is just minutes from Dallas, and the entire town is walkable. Your choice of hotel, the conference center, great restaurants, and fantastic nightlife are all within walking distance of one another. Of course Dallas has two international airports that are only 15 minutes from Addison, but getting there by car is a piece of cake too! Addison is located conveniently off the Dallas North Tollway, just north of the newly expanded 635 LBJ Freeway.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The largest challenge at this point is getting the project funding off the ground. Kickstarter is not the most common means to fund these types of events, but we feel like the community wants something like this, so they'll be ready to invest. Once we complete funding, conference organization is a checklist-driven process with few innate risks.
The digital pass will be recorded and available to watch at your convenience after the conference!
Yes! We are working with a few hotels within walking distance of the Conference Centre to secure the best rates for our attendees and speakers, and will be releasing that information as it becomes available.
Yes. After Kickstarter ends, we will put out a call for speakers where you'll be able to suggest yourself or others as speakers for the event.
YES! The Convention Centre has a fantastic layout where the vendor area circles the session hall. This creates not only a unique experience for the attendee, but presents greater exposure for the vendors.
Vendor tables are available to purchase outside of Kickstarter. Please contact us through the messaging platform here on Kickstarter to learn more.
Yes! If your partner wants to join in on the Saturday night festivities, but podcasting is not their thing, we will have tickets at available for Saturday night only at the door!
