Tart is a forthcoming literary and art zine.
What's going to be in there?
Inside the zine will be poetry, fiction, essays, illustrations, and photography about all your favorite things: relationships, Staten Island, racial and sexual identity, rotting plums, Tinder, birth and decay, the tenuous concept of home, you name it.
Tart is meant to be a cohesive medley of work, like a fruit salad without any honeydew.
Who is making Tart?
Tart features the work of over a dozen NYC-based contributors.
The zine's editors are Vicky Leta, Chloe Bryan, Kendyl Kearly, Alicia Tan, Katy Cardin, and Cailey Rizzo.
Why are you making this?
A lot of good art doesn't get published because there's no clear place for it to go. There should be, and we want to be that place. Also, the world is pretty bad and we want to make something good, featuring as many voices as we can.
What is the money going towards?
Glad you asked! Your money will go towards printing costs and costs associated with our launch party this fall. We are not profiting from this project.
Why should I donate?
- The art is good.
- We love you.
- We'll say thank you.
- Our cover art by Vicky Leta (pictured above) will look beautiful & cool on your coffee table and your dates will ask about it.
Risks and challenges
We hope to have Tart printed by Fall 2018. We will keep you updated every step of the way!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
