Using the latest in audio/video technology our webseries "A Wolf Abroad" will allow our online viewers to experience virtual tourism.
3D HD Cameras and 3D Binaural microphones will capture audio/video the way humans experience the world. Watch with headphones, in 2D, with 3D glasses, or virtual glasses (Oculus Rift) for an immersive virtual tour.
Our "dummy head" of technology will capture video in stunning 3D HD - just as our eyes see. Binaural microphones place silicon ears equidistant to human ears to create a 3D stereo sensation. A Steadicam stabilization system will create fluid motion to mimic the human head's calibrations for smooth vision. In other words, A Wolf Abroad will be shot and seen the way humans record the world for a stunning effect.

A Wolf Abroad will post content to our member's site for download, and then premiere clips and full episodes 1 week later on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/AWolfAbroad
Clips will contain long "virtual walkthroughs" (captured by our 3D dummy head) of various nature trails, city sights, and cultural centers.
Episodes will highlight the best moments from our walkthroughs with 3D audio narration about the history, culture, fun facts, and travel trips for the value minded.
A Wolf Abroad will take a look at 4 National Parks of the American Southwest:
- Grand Canyon National Park
- Capitol Reef National Park
- Bryce Canyon National Park
Our tour guide, Christian Wolf, will provide walkthroughs of some of America's most beautiful outdoor trails.
How You Can Help
Your funding will provide our show with the necessary technology to create our "dummy head" for recording virtual experiences, and cover travel expenses for the pilot episode.
A Wolf Abroad seeks to take people on a journey to places where maybe they couldn't travel - We will transport our users on an immersive internet travel experience. Subscribers to our channel will be more informed on where to spend their travel dollar, picking their favorites, and virtually travel to the rest of the world with A Wolf Abroad.
Ultimately, we want to inspire our audience to go out, travel, and affordably see the beauty our planet has to offer.
Risks and challenges
Calibrating the technology for our dummy head may take some time. We'll be doing walkthroughs of Los Angeles and the surrounding areas to test our system and make sure our viewers get the best virtual experience.
After some successful test shoots, we will venture out on our pilot shoot. (tentatively scheduled end of May across the 4 national parks). We would keep all backers up to date with any possible delays in production ahead of time.
