New duo. New sounds. New songs. New EP. Target release: October 2013.
Eric Forsyth and Sarah Katherine Gee met by chance the summer of 2012 and by January 2013, they were making music together in Eric's basement. In February they had their first gig at Denver's famed Soiled Dove Underground venue and many more were booked thereafter.
Those who hear Forsyth & Gee's live set demand to take the music home. Now we can make that happen, and with your help we can do it right. These wonderful wheels are already in motion to record six songs and release both a physical CD and digital EP on iTunes, Amazon and other online outlets. With your pre-order of the album, we can finish the journey and ensure the final product is amazing quality.
The first part of this production is already scheduled this summer to work with bizarrely talented multi-instrumentalist and engineer Ryan Tilby and a top-notch crew of musicians to record at Spiral Recording Studios.
Every element of the production - rehearsing, recording, mixing, mastering, CD and packaging, distribution - is a perfect balance between top-notch quality and craftsmanship, while still getting the most for every dollar spent. Much like a pizza night at the Forsyth household: Nothing is left on the table, and nothing is wasted. We're scrappy perfectionists.
We've been saving our pennies and working hard. Our Kickstarter goal will not cover all costs, but it will go a long way to helping make sure we can finish and get you music this year. The more CDs we pre-sell, the better we can focus on making the music great.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION WILL HELP FUND:
+ Tracking/Recording in a professional studio
+ Drums, keyboards, mandolin, guitar and bass and other musicians to play on the record
+ All songs brilliantly mixed by Justin Peacock at The Hook Factory
+ All songs professionally mastered
+ CD replication and packaging production

Additional expenses we have covered, no worries: Photo shoot, video shoot, graphic design, travel expenses, website development, merchandising, live sound equipment, press, management, etc...and we've made sure to focus on crafting some great original songs (minor detail). After all, it's all about the music. Through all the details of production we will never forget that.
Thanks for being a part of this journey. We promise to make it worth your while.
Risks and challenges
Stuff happens. There's always the chance for delays if third party partners along the way hit speed bumps (recording, mixing, mastering, CD production, digital distribution, etc.). We are managing this process with an annoying level of organization and will avoid any issues in our power. That said, we are prioritizing quality over speed. We'll will be keeping all supporters updated on our adventure with journal entries, photos and stories from this project. You won't be kept in the dark.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
