Help us print our second chapbook of 2013: City Structures by Sophie Summertown Grimes.

We are pleased to announce our second chapbook of 2013, "City Structures" by Sophie Summertown Grimes. Mistranslation and travel: Sophie’s poems begin with crossings — spatial, linguistic, intellectual — and travel the tangles. Sophie's poems will be accompanied by drawings by Stephanie Kwak. We will launch a small run of her poems July 7th in Chicago with readings by Jen Besemer, Russ Woods, and Sophie herself!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Although the amount of money involved in small press publishing is small, the financial strain facing presses can be crippling. Our major obstacle is finding enough funding to finance the printing of this hand-made book; we rely on donations and advance sales for each of our chapbooks.

We have a strong record of managing these financial challenges -- as well as managing the design and production challenges which accompany (and produce) financial worry. Since 2011, we have published 4 chapbooks: each a unique artifact, demanding creative financing and production. We are confident that we will be able to fund and produce Sophie's chapbook in a timely manner.
