The sun sinks slowly over the desolation of the ancient and once grand Empire. In the distance, just upon the slopes of a broad cliff, lie the ruins of a city. Her alabaster walls wind their way along the rocky mesa, guarding buildings both fair and ruined. It was a great city in its day, now long since fallen to the ravages of time and war. Long ago she stood as a shining doorway to the east, a place for rest and restocking of provisions for those on the long trek into the wild lands of the barbaric frontier in the Western Empire. But all that is past for this, the ruins of the Lost City of Gaxmoor.
ABOUT THE LOST CITY OF GAXMOOR 5E
The Lost City of Gaxmoor 5E is a sandbox adventure we are converting to the 5th Edition of the world's most popular role playing game. Designed for characters that range from 1st to 10th level. GAXMOOR, IT CAN BE SO MUCH MORE
If our goal is reached, we hope to add stretch rewards that include the Undercaverns of Gaxmoor, terrain building material from Fat Dragon Games and more. And hopefully, if things go very well, we'll begin adding new encounters areas, statues and NPCs.
USING THE LOST CITY OF GAXMOOR
The Lost City of Gaxmoor, written by Luke and Ernie Gygax (playtested by the late, great Gary E. Gygax) is a sandbox adventure setting. You can begin adventures in Gaxmoor immediately or if you wish to integrate it into a larger campaign it can be placed almost anywhere. This includes published settings such as the World of Okkorim (created and published Luke Gygax), the World of Aihrde (Troll Lord Games), the Lost Lands (Frog God Games) or Eberron (Wizards of the Coast); or it can be placed in your own world created at your table. It is designed for parties that range in size from 1-18 with only minor adjustments to monsters and encounters.
GAXMOOR HAS IT ALL
The Lost City of Gaxmoor is a game master's dream. The setting is full to overflowing with adventures, adventure hooks, set ups and more. With almost 200 Areas of Interest and a veritable host of NPCS, as well as factions of monsters at war with each other, the NPCs and soon the characters as well, it offers countless hours of fun. Throw in the machinations of ancient gods and the rise of a demon prince and you suddenly have a campaign setting that just won't quit. Here's a little more of what you'll be getting.
Outside the Wall: Gaxmoor begins with encounters on beyond the city walls. These include Grimhelda the Witch, burned out buildings, Weary Travelers Respite Inn and Stable a swamp, the gates, breaches in the city wall and more.
The Graveyard: There is a graveyard beyond the walls as well. Hemmed in by hedges and wrought iron fences the graveyard, filled with crypts both small and large, offers mountains of adventure and treasure.
Inside the Wall: Hosts of burned out and ruined buildings, couple with others still occupied and some recently taken over. Here orcs and goblins, gnolls and ogres all vie for power over the bloody streets of this ruined city. From the Grand Theatre to the Home of Bones, the Colosseum to the Public Oratorio, watch towers, homes, The Black Feather Inn...the list goes on.
The Lost City of Gaxmoor offers it all.

ABOUT ERNIE AND LUKE GYGAX
Ernie and Luke are the sons of late Gary Gygax, the Father of Role Playing Games. Both learned to play in the earliest days of the game's creation, and at the feet of the game's original creator. Not content with that, both authors have kept up with modern iterations of the game and Luke frequently participates in 5E games, often running them himself. Ernie has continued to write, working toward bringing his own massive dungeons to the playing public. Luke runs one of the most successful conventions on the circuit today, Gary Con.
TLG has had the pleasure of working with both Ernie and Luke for many years, as well as their late father Gary Gygax, both in previous publications of Gaxmoor and in the many years at Gary Con!
ABOUT PLEDGE LEVELS
Creating Content for Gaxmoor: For those interested in adding content to The Lost City of Gaxmoor, we are very excited about welcoming you aboard. You can join the fray by adding street names, NPCs, beverage names or even designing a short encounter. We welcome all creative, interesting out of the box approaches. Entries should be about 500-1,200 words (unless you are just naming something of course) and will be subject to approval from the publisher and Luke and Ernie Gygax. Entries must be in by December 1. This gives us time to read, edit, get back with you and generally prepare the entry for publication.
The Special Leather Collector's Edition: This book will be designed as are other leathers. It will have dual-color embossed logo, with gold trim, hubs on the spine, a place marker ribbon, as well as your name embossed on the front. You can get a better idea of what the book will look like via this video. It was made a few years ago about a C&C PHB collector's edition, but it will get you a good idea of what you are receiving.

What he'll bring to the lost city is anybody's guess, but we know it will be more than worth the price of admission (see my clever pun there! Risks and challenges
Large books such as this one are hard to print and bind and we have to choose our printers with care.
One of the greatest challenges we face is creating such a large book and maintaining the quality of the printing and binding. In order to do this, we must find a printer with the knowledge and capabilities to execute a book of this size and have it look polished and professional, something we take great pride in. This will cost more than usual printing so Kickstarter becomes essential in raising enough capital to give this book the quality it demands and deserves.
We are confident that with a successful Kickstarter we can bring this product to the world not only as a great resource, but also as a great looking book.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
