A little more than a year

Hey there,

It's been a little more than a year since you helped us to successfully relaunch Gothamist. Thank you! It's been an exciting year for all of us, and we're so happy to be back and bringing you coverage of New York's news, arts and events, and food scene.

And here's some more exciting news: Jake Dobkin has adapted his "Ask A Native New Yorker" column into a book that's appropriately titled Ask A Native New Yorker: Hard-Earned Advice on Surviving and Thriving in the Big City.

Ask A Native New Yorker collects all of Jake's Native New York knowledge - in 42 years, he's never left the city for more than 10 weeks - to answer 48 all - new questions New Yorkers ask everyday. Will NYC transit always be so messed up? Why do New Yorkers always have to be right?  Should I be scared of rowdy youths after school?

And what's more: You can get your very own signed copy of Ask A Native New Yorker when you become a Sustaining Member and make a monthly donation of just $6.25 per month (or more!)

Now that Gothamist is a part of the New York Public Radio family, we rely on support from readers to bring you the reporting you count on. You helped to bring the site back by supporting our Kickstarter last year, and now you can continue to be there for Gothamist by becoming a sustaining member today.

Thank you!

P.S. If you're already a monthly donor to Gothamist, thank you!
