We did it! We've hit our fundraising goal, and any pledge made between now and the close of our campaign is guaranteed.
Now we're on to our next goal, Vibram Soles if we hit $75,000! These soles will be offered as an option, not in place of the leather soles we already have. You choose!

All of our Goodyear welted boots and shoes are made with 100% full-grain leather, both inside and out, with a leather sole. We use the highest quality construction, with the best materials, on our versions of classic American and European style boots and shoes.
Our boots and shoes come in whole sizes, from US men's 7-12.
UPDATED - Due to a number of requests, we have expanded our sizes to include men's size 7.
Wingtips were created to serve a very specific purpose in Scottish and Irish bogs. Perforations in the leather allowed water to escape the shoes when wet, helping them dry quickly and evenly. Brogueing, as it is traditionally called, allows for ventilation that keeps feet cool in the summer, yet still warm in the harsh winters of the UK and Ireland.
The Toe Cap Boot is an American and British classic that is built to last. Traditional Oxford-style shoes originated in Scotland and Ireland, and they slowly became one of the most popular styles of shoes in the world. When we think of classic workwear, we think of toecaps.
Our Chukkas are classic English to the core. First brought over from India by the British Raj, the shoes get their name from the game of Polo (the one with horses) but were later worn by British Forces during WWII, when they were trudging across the Western Desert. What began as a sporting shoe for men who could afford to use horses for sport, later became the boot of choice for military men who had a job to get done.
Like our Wingtip Boots, these shoes were originally designed with perforations to allow for much faster drying time after a day spent trudging through the bogs and moors of Scotland. The holes or “brogueing” would drain water caught in the shoe, and they would look great at the local pub where the workers would end their day with a whisky and a beer.
The modern loafer started life on the dairy farms of Norway, but they didn't begin to catch on in Europe and America until the 1930’s. What began as a casual shoe, the loafer worked its way onto Ivy League campuses, where they first began donning their signature penny, and into more formal settings.
Our shoe bags are hand sewn in Leon, Mexico, using local and traditional fabrics. You can use them to protect your shoes, especially while traveling, and in a pinch, use them to quickly buff your shoes.

As we get closer to the end of our Kickstarter, we've received a ton of messages regarding sole types, and especially the potential for Vibram. So, we've decided to offer Vibram soles on all of our boots and shoes if we reach $75,000 by the end of our campaign!
Tawny Goods was founded on three basic tenets: quality, style, and affordability.
Quality: We believe that quality is intrinsically tied to heritage and integrity, and to relationships with the people who make our goods the world over.
Style: We believe that personal style and dressing well is not only a sign of respect to others around you, but a show of self respect as well.
Affordability: We believe that ultimately, quality and style should be affordable, and not exclusionary because of price.
Our shoes and boots are all handmade in Leon, Mexico by men and women who have been making boots for generations. Leon was originally founded by bootmakers and leather tanners, and those traditions are still alive and well. A walk through downtown Leon not only brings you into contact with one of the largest communities of skilled leatherworks in the world, but also the undeniable scent of leather itself.

Our shoemakers have decades upon decades of experience and enough clout to make sure any size of production run gets made in a reasonable amount of time.
If we do run into issues during production, we promise that you will be the first to know.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
