One year later ... what a ride

So today is the one year anniversary of the launch of this KickStarter.   It has been a wild year handling such a massive project but the good news we have to report ... the finish line is definitely in sight.

At this point we have all the remaining rewards packed up except for a few miniatures that we ran out of stock of while packing that should arrive to us very shortly (already in the mail on their way to us).

At this point (and I hope it is correct) ... we think everyone who can be shipped (ie has finished the Skykadia pledge manager and the address survey should be shipped by this time next week.  (no need to worry on that note and email us to ask ... if you have not done the pledge manager at this point we already reached out to you!) ;-)

Even though everything is packed up and waiting on a couple figures for all remaining rewards to go into the mail ... Chris and I have agreed that we will not start the Asian Chibi KickStarter until all the backers that are in the KickStarter have their packages in the mail (that have all the paperwork completed).

Our original goal we set 6 weeks ago was to launch the Asian KickStarter on the one year anniversary ... but we think it is more important that our current backers have their rewards on the way before we move to the next project than hit a goal date.

So thanks everyone for the support of the KickStarter ... I hope to within the next week send out an update that shipping is completed and the Asian KickStarter has started.

In the meantime ... we wanted to show you the video that Juan at MKUltra developed for us for the Asian KickStarter.  Thanks Juan!

Its been a very eventful year with a lot learned ... we look forward to applying it all to make the next KickStarter really run great.   And thanks again for being an incredible group of backers over the last year!

(and Kim says Thanks! to everyone as well for working with her as she stepped in and learned the Chibi business to keep things moving when I had my health issues)

Large box arrived today, packed to the gills with figurines.
Still sorting them out and checking them out.

Yes, you will receive a tracking number. If you are International (outside the US) you may not be able to track after it' leaves the US. Usually stops at Chicago.

Looking forward to receiving the shipment.
Question, will we get tracking numbers when they finally go out?

One year later, and Juan's video definitely setup the next era of miniatures , afaik ; D
Congrats on completion, and guess what, you're still doing better than other well funded campaigns.

By the way, some of the larger monsters are a total hit in my table. Still need to paint 'em, but...

Understood ... all the figures that had that issue were hand sculpted ones. The digital ones all had base tabs that hit into the base slots. It was something we learned. For this next project all the figures will be digitally sculpted and will not have the base tab issue. If/When we use a physical sculptor again for any future Chibi miniatures ... we already have on our To Do list to make sure the base tabs are not too thick. Or to do what we should have done with this batch and to test them before they were moulded and if were a bit too thick to have them filed down before moulding. Instead of cutting the base tabs on those figures ... I've just used a miniatures file and not had any issues so far with just filing a bit off it if it had issues fitting in a base.

The minis are great, but I do have a commentary on the resin itself?

Many of the detailed bits that poked out of the minis were simply chipped off, or arms at times. Nothing TOO hard to fix, but still a bit annoying... and, well, trying to set the smaller miniatures onto the bases was pretty rough, since they have stick legs and all (the slot that was supposed to go into the base was often too large, and several attempts to cut it down carefully ended up removing it entirely).

While I cannot offer a solution in how to keep the tiny bits from chipping off, I -do- urge you to add something to the legs of the miniatures to make it much easier to set them in place. Not a slot per-se, but something solid. For example! the elementals had an aura around their feet and that made sticking them to the bases MUCH easier! Stuff like that.

Looking forward to your next project! ... and I hope I have enough money by then to chip in :p

      That video is great!

And thank Kim for us for helping!!!

Congrats for being on track for having everything shipped out by the closing anniversary date! (you're still a mile ahead of Relic Knights for completion ^,^)

I'm excited for the next Kickstarter - the Chibis were definitely worth the wait, and you guys were MUCH more communicative than other Kickstarters I've funded that didn't go quite as expected. :D

      Love that video :)

@Kaiser ... one of the lessons learned is that BOTH Kim and I will start shipping at the highest $ pledges for the Asian KickStarter. My plan for me packing the high $ and go down while Kim did the low $ and went up failed because I've had to spend hundreds and hundreds of hours bagging up the multiple part figures (you'll understand this more when you get your reward). So that was an error in planning on my part. However I do learn from my errors ... and the next one ... we will definitely start at the Emperor level and go down to Chonin.

And thank YOU guys for being so communicative throughout the whole process. Delays happen - that can't be helped. However, you kept us informed every step of the way and I couldn't be happier with how you've handled things. My only regret is that I chose so many minis that it's taking even longer for me to get them. :P
