Chaotic Alliance Metal rewards now shipping. Relaunching ZN Games KickStarter.
A good sign update as the Chaotic Alliance Metal reward level had the backers add a lot of resin teams to their rewards. Since we had originally thought shipping would be in August, we worked to get those out as close to August as possible. Happy to say we had those rewards pretty much finished and ready to ship at the end of August ... so one hurdle down ... more to go but at least we cleared the first one. Still working to see if we can reach the next hurdle of having the Chaos Cup rewards ready (still a goal that is a big question mark as there are two Pitch Invasion rewards in that mix (including the 2nd largest backer)). I received today the Ruddog Ironhead give-away figures for Chaos Cup and they look great. Had my temporary help bag them up today so they are ready to go for weekend after next.
I also wanted to reach out to notify you of a new KickStarter we just started that has been a project that has been one I have become very personally vesting in while organizing. Our current KickStarter is to produce a series of fantasy 28mm scale dungeon miniatures and 6mm scale steampunk airships. If funded, the 41 of the miniatures will be able to be put back into production. These miniatures were originally the products of ZN Games which was created by Chris Bledsoe.
Chris Bledsoe helped create rules for Warzone, Chronopia, Mutant Chronicles, and Crucible. He had key roles at both Heartbreaker and Ral Partha. In late 2001, he opened ZN Games to pursue starting his personal dream of creating his own miniatures and games. However just as he could get started, Chris passed away from cancer in fall of 2002.
I have always hoped that if something tragic happened to me that somehow my work on Impact! would carry on. As I have worked with Chris’s father Kevin to sort through all of his son’s work that he had finished or were in various stages of completion it made me think a great deal of what would happen to Impact! if I was not around tomorrow to make it happen, I came to the definite conclusion that we had to try to get Chris’ dream of his own miniatures company relaunched.
In addition, Kevin Bledsoe and I wanted this to be more about just relaunching a commercial venture. So we have agreed to put 10% of all sales of the ZN Games miniatures line after the KickStarter into a Pay It Forward memorial fund in Chris Bledsoe’s name that will help back small miniature KickStarters in the future to help those projects succeed with their dreams. This fund will be 100% transparent and reported on in the comments of the KickStarter and backers of the KickStarter will be able to suggest KickStarters for us to back with the funds and support.
If can back the project, thank you. If you cannot back the project but are willing to spread the news about the KickStarter through Facebook, Twitter, Online Forms, etc. etc., thank you for that as well as any help we get to fund this project and unlock as many extra of the 450 miniatures that Chris Bledsoe was working on is much appreciated.
