Hen & Chick: The Marauders’ Island is the story of Azria, a mage of the tropical island of Miz. When her mother, Captain Apzana of the Hen & Chick asks her to join her crew, Azria jumps at the chance for adventure. But their first mission may be more than Azria can handle when her mother asks her for the impossible: to raise an island banished beneath the waves by Miz' most infamous mage, Iyzani. If Azria can undo the magic used to sink the island, the treasure of a thousand shores will be theirs for the taking.
When Iyzani reveals herself to Azria, her message is clear: leave the island where it is. But Azria must unravel a piece of history which ensnares her country, her mother and the misdeeds of mages before her. Can Azria undo the revenge, loss and heartache in the magic Iyzani has used? Find out in HEN & CHICK: THE MARAUDERS' ISLAND!

Risks and challenges
The book is completed, edited and currently being proofed. The cover is done and designed. In anticipation of the Kickstarter, we have been in contact with a slew of talented people for months, counting and planning for the launch of the Kickstarter. Our large, dry basement is ready to receive orders. I have protein shakes.
That being said, things happen. Orders get lost in the mail. The more companies you order from, the more likely something goes wrong. Shipping adds up quick. When dealing with small companies and freelancers, personal issues and troubles can cause delays. Our small team is prepared to make sure all rewards are fulfilled and are more than happy to let our backers know what is happening each step of the way. We believe in making things right, not making excuses. We’ve run three Kickstarters before for books and comics, so we’re well aware of what might come our way and will take damage ourselves to make sure you get your books and extras!
Hen & Chick is important to us, and we want to get this awesome, diverse YA novel into your hands as well as all the cool stuff you are helping us make!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
