YaÜ Baby #2...Déjà vu!
We shared YaÜ with family & friends and everyone asked us for more and even offered to compensate. However, making YaÜ was very time consuming and there was only so much we could make on our stove top.
Why we started YaÜ
We couldn't keep up with requests from family and friends and knew we wanted to continue to share YaÜ with people we care about so that they can share with people they love. We believe everyone should have the option to access simple, delicious and nutritious yogurt that is made the right way without taking any shortcuts.
We realized people often opted for fruit flavored yogurts which have the longest list of ingredients to preserve fruits while current unflavored yogurts were viewed by most as less palatable. Vanilla flavored yogurt was the next closest thing to plain, yet who would've thought your vanilla yogurt is not so vanilla?
We began researching these ingredients and learned that these ingredients are unnecessary and in some cases harmful. [Cornucopia Institute Carrageenan Report]
In fact, many of them are not even allowed in the European food supply!
We believe less is more. When things are done the right way, the ingredient list is short and the process is long.
How is YaÜ Made?
Why is Our Milk Better?
We work with small dairy farms in Chenango and Otsego Counties in South Central New York State. In addition to Holsteins (the most popular American milking cow), our herds consist of various colored breeds such as Jerseys, Guernseys, Montpeliers, Dutch Belts, etc which give our milk a higher butter fat percentage. Unlike conventional milk you would buy at the grocery stores, our organic whole milk has never been separated (for the different parts to be sold off) and then re-homogenized to the USDA 3.25% standard of identity. As a result, the actual milk fat of our milk can vary from anywhere between 3.7% - 4.5% milk-fat depending on the season and what the cows are eating. Our cows are grass-fed, and thus there are unique variations in taste depending on the season and the foliage they are munching on. Every batch is unique.

Why We Need Your Support?
We have figured out the scale up recipe using a 30 gallon vat pasteurizer, but that is just the FIRST step in a largely UPHILL battle to be able to share YaÜ on a wider scale on grocery store shelves.

We have dedicated the last 2 years of our lives to making YaÜ come to life. We’ve got the entire supply chain nailed down. But, there are still a few items that are beyond our control.
If things don't go according to plan, whether it's a delay in the production timeline, prices of raw ingredients, shipping date, or anything else, we promise to communicate honestly with you and work around the clock until we correct the issue.
