About this project
Washed is a coming of age story that follows a grieving young woman, Caroline Owen. We see her lost and alone in the present day, as she goes through the car wash. The sequence of events that lead up to this moment intermittently unfold while she sits amidst the mechanical chaos. By the time the car wash ends, Caroline knows what she must do. We follow her as she tries to regain what she has lost.
The one thing we can be certain of is that Washed has a lot of passionate people behind it. Our production team is made up of talented, knowledgeable, and extremely dedicated young professionals. We are lucky to have the human resources that it takes to create this film at it's highest potential and are ready to challenge ourselves to bring this story to life.

After eleven years of developing her craft, Alexandra is ready to take the next step in her professional career. She is excited to complete the short film, Washed. This story will be her short film directorial debut in the world of independent cinema.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
While our team has already put forward a lot of time and effort into preparing for this production, a film cannot be completed without the proper budget behind it. Sky Wang has put together a phenomenal budget breakdown of all the essentials we need to make this film, without sacrificing the quality of the production. That's why we really need your help.
WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
Our Kickstarter goal is the absolute minimum that we'd need to make this film. This money will be put towards renting lights and camera, feeding our cast and crew on set, purchasing props, obtaining location permits, renting sound gear, the list goes on...
Every contribution is bringing us that much closer to making this film. And for that, we are forever grateful.
Alex and Allison

Thank you for showing interest in our project Washed. It is people like yourself who make projects like ours a possibility.
To answer your question in regards to the founding producer title, our team feels that the founding producer is an important step in the project's success with regards to the Kickstarter platform.
The founding producer is a contemporary term that represents unique individuals who financially contribute on these social fundraising platforms. The associate producer credit is usually given to someone who links ancillary investors to producers or someone who provides a connection to talent and production necessities.
With regards to this nouveau financing strategy for films that major studios would otherwise reject, the digital community has created this term for a new type of financier. The value is equitable in many ways but the major differential is defined in the communication between the artist and the backer in this newly established social fundraising platform.
Many projects prior have used this term in their projects. Please cite the following sources:
