"Weekend In Vegas" (Canceled)
In Weekend in Vegas you have 24 to 48 turns to see who can gamble and do the most objectives before your Weekend is done. VEGAS BABY!!!
"What happens in Vegas, stays in your home."
To print the smallest reasonable quantity will cost us $50,000. What the money cover is paying the artist for the final designs getting the game printed. We are looking to get it made in the US so costs are higher. Our board is massive it needs to get custom made. So, we want to know, before we take that risk, if we should take this game to press. And if so, how nice we should make it. Do you the the board game lovers want a fun but cheap looking game? Or do you want a fun and beautiful custom game worth every penny with real poker chips and pewter pieces.
Kickstarter helps us find that out, and also helps us raise the money for that minimum-sized press run. If we hit our funding goal, we can print a few thousand copies, and ship "Weekend in Vegas" to stores across the country. And we can give our backers copies of the game as thanks for helping us do that. If we raise more, we can print more games.
"Weekend In Vegas"! We are looking to raise $50,000 to finish the overall game and get it into production by offering it to the Kickstarter community first. “Weekend in Vegas” will then be sold online from our website and then in stores. We're asking for your help to realize our dream of making "Weekend in Vegas" available to the public.
1. Finish the final design of the game packaging and box content.
2. Finish the final art work on all the gaming cards and Characters.
3. Finish the board design.
Design of “Weekend in Vegas” is in the final stages, about 90% complete. Our designer has finishing touches pending on the board game art and game cards, and then we're off to production with the manufacturer. In order to realize our dream and make “Weekend in Vegas” truly shine, we will have to outsource the final production stage. This is where your help is the most important.
The "Weekend in Vegas" game board will be a fully detailed 20 inch x 50 inch playing area rendered in beautiful vibrant colors. Most of the most famous hotels on the strip are represented on the board, specially recreated for "Weekend In Vegas". If you have been to Vegas and are familiar with the Strip, you will notice that the game board is so detailed that it's immediately familiar. We've made the game board as accurate as a miniature version of the area could be. If you have never visited, you will be able to use the "Weekend in Vegas" game board as a familiarization tool prior to a trip you might take in the future.
These are the Characters of "Weekend in Vegas". Each of the different Characters will have special abilities with which you can play in the advanced version of the game. You can also opt to play with the simpler rules in the streamlined version.
"Weekend In Vegas" will have beautifully detailed objective cards made from high quality card stock. There are four objective card categories in the game, each with detailed objectives written with entertaining and witty humor. The objective card categories are Shows, Dining, Nightclubs and Attractions. Each card has a star rating, and the star rating tells the player how much each card is worth using point values. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. Since we can't use the real life names of locations in Las Vegas, each location in the objective cards is fictional. We are offering the 'Kickstarter Community' a chance to to be an integral part of the "Weekend In Vegas" game by offering rewards that allow the backer's name to be written into the fiction on the objective cards. Please see the specifics in reward section of this project. Just as the real Las Vegas is mainly for adults, our game is intended to be played by adults. With that in mind, “Weekend in Vegas” uses adult humor and outlandish events that could take place while visiting and playing in Las Vegas.
At the start of the game, each player will pick a hotel card. At the top of each hotel card is a picture of the hotel corresponding to the game board. This tells the player where to place their Character when gameplay begins. Each hotel card also contains an Extra Cash number. The Extra Cash value is the amount the player receives when returning to the hotel to help pay for gameplay activities. The hotel card will be used during gameplay to instruct the player what to do on each turn. The player can also place bets on the hotel card for all gambling games. All player bets are visible to all other players. The hotel card also defines the minimum and maximum bets, governed by the hotel grade. The hotel colors dictate the minimum bet needed to complete tasks inside the hotels. The rating are as follows:
The Gaming Deck was designed for fast gameplay and yet also for making the game easier to learn. The Gaming Deck will assist even players who are not familiar with gambling card games as the Gaming Deck cards teach the basic rules. For each gambling session to be played, each gaming card contains a preset Poker hand, Blackjack hand, Roulette spot with color and numbers, and a Craps number that must be hit before the player craps out. Advanced players can alternatively use a standard playing card deck.
"Weekend in Vegas" is designed to be the mother of all parties, and Luck Cards keep things interesting by granting cards that can make or break the player. Some luck cards will allow the player advantages while gambling but more prone to getting busted by dreaded security! Other luck cards can give one player an edge by causing grief to other players. Still other luck card events may endear the player to the other players by buying them drinks. It's a great way to make friends, puts the player themself at risk for ending up in a gutter downtown. Anyone who says there is no such thing as luck as never been to Vegas.
"Weekend in Vegas" includes a spinner with 2 purposes. The inner area is the Comp wheel that is used every time a player gambles. The Comp wheel indicates if a player gets a Comp that can be used to pay for player objectives. The outer area is the Roulette Wheel, used during gambling sessions.
The player that goes first is the time keeper. The time keeper moves the clock forward one hour at the end of the round, once everyone has had a turn. The time keeper moves the clock forward until the 24 hours, or rounds, of the game are completed. Play duration of 24 hours is established at the beginning of the game. If a different duration is desired, we recommend between a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of 48 turns, agreed between the players before play starts.

Each character in "Weekend in Vegas" is someone you would see in Vegas they will have there own skills sets. Just like in the real world we all don't go to Vegas with the same amount of money in our pockets. Also some people are just better at certain games then somebody else. When playing "Weekend in Vegas" You will be taking the role as one of the 8 original characters or you can help unlock more characters to make "Weekend in Vegas" even better.
Once we have 1500 backers, we will include even more Characters for "Weekend in Vegas" each with their own set of skills to make "Weekend in Vegas" even more fun and challenging. All backers at the $45 level or higher will get these new Characters, once the stretch goal is met. We will unlock this stretch goal of the new Characters once we hit 1,000 Backers
If we hit the stretch goal of $80,000, all backers that pledged at the $100 reward level or greater will get a 400 piece custom "Weekend in Vegas" Poker chip set.
We would also like to make molds of all the custom Character playing pieces.
