The Edge of Extinction is a First person, multilayer, online zombie apocalypse survivor game. The entire game is based on the end days of earth after a bio-organic weapon got into the wrong hands and was launched at Russia and infected the entire Middle East area. It soon spreads to the rest of the world; pushing man kind to the edge of extinction. Food, medical supplies, water and safety are now scarce as you fight your way to survive what's left of the world. Team up with friends, or people you don't even know; All around the world in an epic battle against the dead. Choose your race! Will you be a civilian( friendly to all others enjoys teaming up and look for survivors and fighting the horde. Ridding the world of this Horde infection! Or will you cross over to the independent as a loan wolf with lack of trust in anybody, shoot on site and ask questions later trying to take the world on by yourself!
There will be thousands a customizable Weapons ranging from Fire arm weans-Melee weapons!
Start the game and having a hard time finding a fire arm? Don't fret it we are introducing customized weapon assets into the game. For instance you may have just found an old pipe, some old shoe laces, and some large shards of glass, or even barbed wire or a broken knife blade! The new customizable tool that will be built into the game will allow you to take these useless scraps of materials and make a nasty looking melee weapon and depending on the combination depends on the damage of the weapon that it deals to both Nap's/AI and the players themselves! SO be creative there's no wrong way to do it Create a rock on a rope and bash your Enemies face in! Its up to you!

We've discovered that the best way to create an interesting deep,rich and fun to play MOM FPS Apocalypse game is to begin the pre-production process. If were to just sit back on the couch with no drive to work on this game and wait to begin the design work for the massive scale MOM FPS game until after our programmers have completed their work... Our budget would Dramatically increase by 75% or more Putting us in dept with our self's! Why didn't we just Lay back and chill? Well it would start a process that we don't want to happen! And that's the hiring and firing process with in our companies team! We want to break that and keep our great team together! We love the work they do and their Passion for this game! So it would make no essence for us to begin work on The Edge of Extinction Later weather than Now! We feel this is going to be the BEST process in the placement stage and it allows us to bring you the best MOM FPS game we have to present to you our greatly loved backers! Because we want to Eliminate any Concerning question about delivering you the best Apocalypse game you will ever play!
We started out as just me and Joe and after doing so looking and digging we are now almost a full team of 7 members working day and night on this game. Its Been exhausting but well worth it for how far we have come. Every one on the team has a job and we assigned these jobs based on the specialties that we are more comfortable working on! Making the game development less stressful and a lot more fun!

Director and Design Lead for Demented Productions!, Designer and Screen Writer for The Edge Of extinction! . 3 years of Developing experience, starting as a AD artist on 16-bit computers.I first started out In Kalmia Kong Hawaii I took College classes on Video game development for some extra Credits in school and I loved It so much I decided to make my own game. I never published it it was just for fun. I used Game maker,to develop simple AD Scroll map game and It was a blast so I thought to my self hey IM having so much fun making these little minor projects why not gather up some techies I Know and lets make a huge Game! And it brings us here to day almost 4 years later!
Some of my work is already on the page! :) So I figured there's no point in wasting your time! To view something twice because that's just silly!
We use a program called Mono Develop to produce the scripts that run every thing we need to happen in the game as well as its helps us properly render the animations needed for Animals, dust, Light rays, Sun flares, Direction lighting ext. With out his job we could not create our main menu that you can view below. Joe has came up with the script called a hover script it basically tells the game that if the mouse collides with the ad GUI text on the screen, then it should act on such in our menu if we were to click the survival button it will load the next menu allowing us to select either Return to main menu, new game, or load save. We have provided a video of the menu below!
We click Survive in the main menu title and it loads the next menu giving the option to select new game load save our return to the main menu! These collision effects were made possible by our Development team and Joes Genus Programming skills!
The first script Joe would like to show you is Really simple he came up with it in Minutes and this script he developed is used to play the sound when the mouse button clicks the AD GUI Text on the main menu! Called hover script! These scripts Are what gives off the Ability for the light sound to be heard as the bulbs flicker and it tells the game to Darken and Intensify the light rapidly giving a cool effect of the lights serving!
The last script he thought you might take intrest in is the flicker script attached to the Lights on the wall to allow them to flicker as though they are a dying light! I love this script I belive he did a great job and we hope you love this too!
Map designer and sketch artist for different Designs of the Terrain of the game. This is how the map is lay deed out before any textures or models I design and develop are added if there are rivers in the map he designs the unique look how wide how deep, The twist and curves in the river, how fast the water should move ex. As well as he works with Michael as a partner team in Designing the Shades.
He has a Picture of Some Height map he developed in Photo's newest version as well as a hand sketched Drawing of a map for the game. Including building layouts And the base map its self.! Enjoy!

2nd Sketch artist This job is one of the MOST IMPORTANT part of our game in its development stage. The artist here will sketch out the textures to be assigned to the terrain buildings zombies characters and animals as well as the cars, road, grass, trees, and other vegetation! The textures are produced in Photo shop, Gimp, May, And blender. As well as Z brush. After the textures are finished I (James) will then apply the textures to the proper Material associated with the model its should be assigned to. Last but not least He is Required to design and develop the Image effects, such as Image based lighting, Reflection, refraction and refraction Ex.

Has chosen a field in the job she is best at Audio source development. She designs all of the audio in the game you should hear based on what's happening in the game. If your by some zombies they should be giving off a certain audio sound based on the distance you are if you are close enough to Hear their moans and growls then you anus the gamer should be able to hear these sounds. She produced the audio music and other collision sound effects in the game as well such as heavy breathing associated with the player while he/ she may be running. Gun shots and sounds of bullets Bouncing off other objects in the game.
Shay den 18 years of age. the youngest of the grouper his skills have impressed us all. Even though the models and animations for animated game objects in the game rant yet complete he has still yet to fail in amazing us all. We will be giving some sneak peaks in the future updates displaying the animated finished result of those models So stay tuned ! :) Animation Developer Shay den Has taken on the roll of Designing and producing the finished rendered animations applied to a particular game object with the required script Joe produces,So that the object will behave in the proper manner. For example if you want the zombie you shot to fall over when it dies, or if you shoot one in the head the And the head is head supposed to explode, then you need the animation for these actions as well as the scripts to apply the behavior when its supposed to. This includes the realtime Rendering effects as well as the Motion capture of a human body to produce stunning results for our stunts and movment in the game. So what will your funds do for us when we Upgrade the software we use? Well it will allow us to take what we have now as far as rendering effects and Boost it to the best quality effects we have to offer! Our goals is to produce not just a fun game with great graphics but a realistic game interns of how you feel when you play the game. In our opinion when you play the game it should 1.) Be visually appealing,2.) Fun to play every time you play leaving you wanting more!. Finally 3.) The game should be LIFE LIKE! Every thing that humans behave as such as eating drinking anger sleeping sadness panic attacks etc. Should all be part of our game. Making you feel part of the game. I mean if your heart is pounding because your being chased by horde of dead than wouldn't you think you should able to hear and see your character react in the same manner? With your help We can bring these features to LIFE in our game. Below are some examples of what we have to work with but with your funds they can be Advanced to AAA+ Effects!

Completion: The challenge to complete/finish the game.

Ultimatum: The initial challenge is too great for the player to take on so the player must gain ability by playing through the game.
Every game presents a risk factor, which is - if the challenge is lost then there is a negative consequence and if the challenge is won then there is a reward. The topics of reward and loss are discussed below.
Tangential reward: A reward that has nothing to do with the eventual completion of the game. These rewards can be things such as cut-scenes that are cool or even unlocking new modes and mini-games.
Compounding reward: A reward that builds on itself. This could be defined as score, or even completion of a level. Therefore the value of the compounding reward increases each time it is attained. These rewards can be completion of a level (which compounds into the completion of the game) or even score.
Calculating reward Reward is calculated by the difficulty of the challenge plus the effort given
The loss is the negative consequence of failing the challenge; it can be anything from loss score, to a game over.
Tangential loss: A loss that has nothing to do with the eventual completion of the game. Maybe you lose an item that was fun but had nothing to do with winning the game.
Compounding loss:A loss that builds on itself. Losing points, or an extra life (which can compound into a game over or ultimatum loss) Therefore the effect of the loss increases each time it is attained.
Ultimatum loss: A dangerous but effective element, this is, if the player loses a certain challenge they fail the greatest challenge and they receive the ultimatum. Usually a permanent game over (meaning all progress is lost). This can destroy the replay value very easily.
