Welcome to Lost Lander's Kickstarter!
Together, with your help, this is what we are going to make:
1. DRRT - a new album
Over a year ago, songwriter Matt Sheehy and producer Brent Knopf began working on a collection of Matt's new songs. After a huge amount of work, the music is finished (!) and we now need your help to fund the design and duplication of the artwork and physical copies.
Take a listen to a couple of tracks:
2. Lost Lander - tour supported:
The majority of funds raised here will help us promote the album and tours following the release of DRRT. We've been rehearsing like crazy and can't wait to take this show on the road. With your help we can:
- hire a PR professional to get the word out about DRRT and tours.
- buy a few pieces of essential equipment.
- ensure that our tour vehicle is safe to drive on the road.
3. Brain-melting music videos:
We've been meeting with some supremely talented music video directors and our collective brains have stormed some incredible ideas. Now, only a few thousand bucks are preventing our brainstorms from your brain-melting.
Although we expect that all of this will cost more than our goal of $7,000, your contributions will give us a huge head start. Thank you for considering!

"...DRRT is truly excellent; Sheehy has made an even better record than Tigerphobia, which is quite a feat. "Cold Feet" is already a contender for song of the year—this is a band that a lot of people are going to respond to.
"DRRT was produced by Ramona Falls frontman Brent Knopf (formerly of Menomena) and his fingerprints are all over the record, which balances immaculately crafted, intricate studio work with Sheehy's cut-to-the-bone songwriting."
NED LANNAMANN, the Portland Mercury End Hits
"Cold Feet, the first release off of Lost Lander’s upcoming debut album DRRT is a riveting kick-off to a sultry summer soundtrack. Dense yet ethereal, intimate yet globe-trekking; this stirring and lushly textured piece of flawless songcraft is the brainchild of Portland Oregon’s Matt Sheehy and deftly produced by Ramona Falls’ Brent Knopf .
"Although there’s a moving sense of pathos pervading the overall atmosphere of the song, it’s reverentially counterbalanced by an ever-present anthemic yowl of hope and triumph. Fans of Peter Gabriel, Band of Horses and My Morning Jacket will keen to Lost Lander’s innate synthesis of tribal drumming, hushed electronica vibes, and the lamenting, lonesome vocals"
Miss Dolly Mod, My Old Kentucky Blog
"Lost Lander's 'DRRT' is one of only a handful of modern releases to feature the sorts of rhythms and grooves that speak not only to a bipedal sensibility, but to our quadrupedal brethren as well. In a word: Fantastic."
