A unique work of art carved from solid steel
Our polyhedral mirror is a 10-sided solid steel mirror with one large mirror-polished side.
Using a CNC (computer numerical control) process, the polyhedron is carved from a single block of steel to .001 millimeter accuracy.
A unique design piece that goes with any modern decor.
The 10-sided design allows it to face different angles depending on your preferred look.
Due to its unique geometry, it can balance on any of the 10 sides.
It contains 1600 grams (3.5 pounds) of solid stainless steel which gives it an undeniable heft.
It will be a family heirloom that lasts forever.
Mirror Story：Designs from life
The idea of designing polyhedron mirror come from my recent trip to Wolfgangsee in Austria.
The beautiful scene of Wolfgangsee shocked me deeply, it also remains fresh in my memory. The lake is a huge mirror which can reflect sunlight, surrounded by Alps and the small town. The white swan in the lake looked like walking on the surface of the mirror, all these scenes inspired me.
When I got back, I sketched out a few mirror concepts before settling on this design. I was so excited when I first saw the prototype. I can’t help to think back the fantastic landscape in Wolfgangsee. And I really hope this artwork will come into your life.
What people are saying about 211
This is our 2nd project here on Kickstarter. Our first project, the asymmetrical polyhedron necklace was a success. Our delivery was late because we were insistent on the highest quality. Here's what a few people had to say about us:
"I received mine today, as backer 50. I'm also very satisfied with the diamond pendants through Kickstarter, and I would like to thank the project creator for this good work." - Barry B.
"Received 2018-05-31 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Everything as it was described in the campaign (except for delivery time)." - Rob S.
"...creator delivered as promised, so patience people. Very satisfied with the result." - Andrew T.
Pledge today to make the polyhedron mirror come to life!
Risks and challenges
We have already made our prototype and are ready to place a production order. Each mirror will be made using the same process, so we are confident it can be made. We face the risk of running behind on schedule if the production process takes longer than expected. Our last project had to be reworked several times to get the perfect results we expected. We are trying to get ahead of the results this time and have given ourselves extra time to get the quality we desire.
