meet my design team
Hello my Kickstarter friends!
Whew! I cannot believe it's already been a month since my last update! I've been keeping busy teaching, performing and - oh yes! - working on our album. *grin*
Over the past few weeks, my engineer Steve and I met for several more mixing sessions, most involving more editing than I planned. (What's that saying about making plans ...? :-b) The good news is that we have nearly finished the edits and can now turn our attention to finalizing the sound of the record.
But there is also the look of the record, of course.
Some of you know I have a background in print publishing. What that background has made most clear to me is that I am not a designer. *smile* So I knew I needed to find someone to help me with this project.
Fortunately, my friend (and fellow musician) Sara Thomsen recommended Terri (and Jordan) at Blackbird Revolt (www.blackbirdrevolt.com).
Terri and I had a "get to know you" call in February. Then this past weekend while I was in Duluth performing, the three of us were able to meet in person to discuss my project. Now, they're my design team. (How cool is that?)
I am delighted (and relieved!) to put the cover design What the Music Says Do into their capable, artistic hands.
One more thing! I finally(!) posted your thank you page on my web site. Head on over to http://www.sarahmgreer.com/kickstarter-contributors to see your name in lights ... er ... pixels. *smile*
As always, thank you for your continued interest and support!
