2014 Update News And Custom Commanders!
2014 is going to be a great year for us and for Planetary Annihilation. We’ve got a ton of massive features on deck. Soon, you’ll be able to send your units to other worlds by way of portals and (!) form alliances in team-based games. We’ve also been working on a bunch of balance tweaks that’ll pump up the overall intensity of the experience. Also, as you know, we’re expanding on the unit roster, which will undoubtedly give you much more robust strategic options in battle.
Our first 2014 update is well on its way — and it’s expected to drop soon. It’ll expand on area commands and incorporate fixes for issues we’ve seen over the holiday break. The big stuff we just mentioned is coming sooner than you think, but we want to keep beta as stable as possible while we work on the bigger game-changing stuff.
While we have you, let’s talk about Commanders for a minute. We’re excited to announce that we’re ready to start making Custom Commanders for our $1000, $5000, and $10000 backers. If you backed at this level, you’ll be receiving an e-mail in the near future with directions on what we need from you. That e-mail will include a link to this very, very important page.
Helping us create you a Custom Commander is pretty easy. Backers in this tier only have to do three simple things:
1. Select the commander class you’d like.
2. Select the weapon type you’d like.
3. Select some inspiration material.
That very, very important page we’ve set up as a guide goes into detail about how to do this and also offers illustrations. Cool? Cool!
