A quick update for everyone. We are working on a major update, but in the meantime here’s some teasers of what we’re working on.

Many of you may have already seen them, but if not, we’ve released some early concept images of the desert biome, as well as a few renders designed to show scale of various units against the terrain. These are still conceptual works, not to be mistaken for final assets that will never change. If you are a Kickstarter/Paypal backer or have pre-ordered, you can gain early access to images like this in the future by joining us on the forums using the UberNet account you registered with.       It is exactly what I hope for: Not too much terrain fanciness so the units remain extremely visible, and not too many polygons and sfx and silliness so the most epic battles will run at decent FPS with no problems in path finding and no compromises on weapon trajectory collision detections.

      Very fancy terrain should be saved for rarity planets or left to mods entirely.

      wow, the flat style looks great! and the commanders being bigger than the other units is great. he was uneasy to find amongst other units on TA sometimes. looking forward to seing more

      I would love the tanks to be bigger. i personally think they are too small compared with the basic infantry

      I'd say, don't let there be any rushed decisions and major flaws. If the game is constantly getting better, I'm sure everyone would wait to get the polished product.

      I don't like that the bigger robot units look very similar. Too much blocky biped for my liking.

      Wow, i really love how this has turned out, this is pretty amazing :D this style is well beyond what i ever imagined.

      Yeah it has a very Dune ish feel, "not that is bad because its not"

      I love the artwork. Even though I though desert would be boring, the combination of simple (shading, ground color palette) and complex (details, cracks) has an amazing impact. Thanks for the update, keep up the good work!

      I love the art style. Still a little concerned about gameplay on multiple planets at once, but I gess the uber guys will make it work.

      Also, everybody should take a look at the currently running kickstarter by gas powered games, the company behind supreme commander and where many of the uber guys come from.

      cool, is it just me? maybe I was a gerbil in a past life but I want to dig down into the crevass and make a secret base down there.

      it all looks so rocky and barren and forbidding, reminds me of Dune2000, my first ever RTS ... I love it, when can I blow it up?

      Spectacular! Just a little bit cartoonish as it expected to be but the quality and small details are amazing. Units are easily distinguishable as well as buildings. Contrast is fine, too. Can't wait for some ingame videos (or at least the editor).

      Awesome, I have already the (awesome) desert biomes. But the units are looking fantastic too !
      I love that they really ressemble the trailer.
      I can't wait to see what the "big update" is about :).
