Hi! I've designed 5 animal characters that I hope to make into enamel pins. By backing the project, you are really just pre-ordering them.
The project started with this chicken pin, who was my mascot for 2017, Year of the Chicken.
I sent it out to friends and clients as my annual New Year's mailer, and it turned out to be the most popular one I've made in 15 years of making them. So I decided to make more! All five happen to be animals of the Chinese Zodiac, so if you happen to be a Pig (like me,) Chicken, Dog, Horse/Donkey, or Monkey, they are perfect for you!
Here are the proofs from the pin-maker, so you'll know what to expect:
The smallest (the monkey) is 1 3/8", the largest (the donkey) is 1 7/8". Each will come in fun packaging printed using a Risograph.
They'll be the perfect companions on your shirt/bag/scarf/backpack!
Risks and challenges
Making enamel pins is a pretty straightforward project. The only risk I can imagine is that if the pin-maker is slow in getting me the pins, if the USPS is slow with shipping, or if the pin-maker makes a mistake and has to remake them, then the pins may arrive to you, Project Backer, later than expected. But otherwise, it's a pretty risk-free gamble.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
