Please take the extra minute to create a kickstarter account instead of pledging as a guest, so that I can know who you are and thank you personally! Otherwise I will not see your name until after the deadline.
The Album
The song playing in the video above is Oh, What A Morning (it fades out before the final verse). It is just one of ten songs that will be featured on this album. I've been performing these songs locally over the last two years and now I'm so excited to get them out there for the rest of the world to hear!
The album was home-recorded by myself and has been mixed by Adam Krinsky of Bellows Studio in St. Paul, MN. The next steps in the process will be to get the album mastered, design the artwork, and send it off for replication.
The Cost of Producing this album
The true cost of producing this album is far more than my goal of $6000. I am seeking funds to pay only for the mixing, mastering, and replication of 1000 CDs. Here is a breakdown of the costs for which I'm seeking support through this Kickstarter:
Mixing $3000
Mastering $1000
Graphic Design $500
Manufacturing of CDs $1500
Costs I am covering myself are: Recording gear ($3500 including computer, software, interface, microphones), the sourcing and assembling of rewards ($1000 for zine copying, T-shirts, prints, etc.), and Kickstarter fees (approx. 8%-10% of total pledged amount so at least $480).
Some notes about the Rewards:
The Art Zine (pronounced 'zeen') is a small photocopied booklet (mini-magazine) of original sketches, musings, photos, & text. For this Kickstarter project I will be making a special new zine available only to backers. Each one will be signed. Here are some pics of the cover and inside pages of a previous zine I made:
About the 8x10 Art Prints: I am also a painter and these prints are of a few of my favorite acrylic paintings I've made in the last few years. Prints will be unmatted and unframed.

About the T-Shirts: I'm super excited I will be working with Duluth Screen Printing for the creation of my first-ever run of T-shirts! I will post updates on what the actual T-shirt design will look like as soon as I know. In the meantime, check out their website and feast your eyes on the video that runs in the background. I could watch it on repeat all day.

Original 8x10 Watercolor and Typewriter Text Artwork: Each watercolor artwork will include text printed from an antique Underwood No. 5 typewriter (you see me typing on it in the video!). The text will be derived from Ingeborg von Agassiz song lyrics. No two watercolor artworks will be the same. Here are some prototypes of what this artwork might look like (these images are just to give you an idea - it's going to be a fun surprise to see what you'll get!):

Risks and challenges
It's possible that the project timeline could delay because of last minute-changes being made to the album or because of technical difficulties - but I will update as the project goes along.
