Home Again and Recording Underway
Hello, friends. I am delighted to report that the post-fire repairs are finally complete, and we are in our home once more, with full access to recording equipment and the ability to use it. The long disruption has set us back by several months, so we did not complete "Friend in the Dark" within a year as we had hoped, but we're making rapid progress now that we're finally free to work again.
In the last weeks we have completed recording of three songs, first "Daughter of Apocalypse" then "Sapphire, Ruby and Gold" and most recently "Wild Angel." That makes twelve finished recordings for the new CD. The three finished ones still need a little post-processing, but things should flow freely now that we are finally in our home again. We hope the rest of the songs we still need to record will come together quickly now, though there are a few very tricky pieces left to tackle.
I am also delighted to share the happy news that I have been nominated for the Pegasus Awards this year, both in the Best Composer category, and in the Best Song category for "Somebody Will." Lauren and I are greatly looking forward to coming to the ceremonies at OVFF, particularly since this year's ballot is incredible (I've been nominating Batya Wittenberg's "Creatures of Dream" forever!) so the concert should be amazing. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
Once again, thank you for all your support, and patience!
