We’ve been working on this project for three years and have spent hundreds of hours designing prototypes. After 12 prototype iterations, we finally produced a product we’re proud of. Hi, I’m Alex. Me and my team are avid golfers. We love the game and have been producing golf push carts for more than 18 years. We’ve made more than a million on the market under different brands. All we think about are golf and golf carts, nothing else. But as we were making all these carts as an OEM, we were seeing a huge lack of innovation in the space.
Golf carts are big, bulky, and expensive, while golf bags and pushcarts were unwieldy and tiresome. We wanted something affordable that would ease the burden of carrying or pushing our equipment everywhere while still being able to walk and enjoy the course.
So we created eWheels. And...we love it! We’ve been using it since it’s creation and wondered why we didn’t do this sooner. We can’t wait to get eWheels to your hands so you can experience it for yourself!
Risks and challenges
We have the toolings completed and built the first 100 units. We’re in the process of applying the necessary certificates such as UN38.3 for the lithium ion battery. FCC for the radio frequency, and CE for importing into the EU. Normal lead time for our components are about 30 days and we would need another 30 days to assemble the units. However, like many new products, there can be unexpected delays in production.
