FLOWER CONSTELLATIONS wild arrangements with fewer stems
FLOWER CONSTELLATIONS effortless flower arrangements, inspired by the stars
It can be challenging to create beautiful flower arrangements when you don't have an abundance of flowers to work with.
With the Flower Constellations, we made it easy to set up voluminous arrangements every time, while saving flowers from being wasted.
Create masterpieces with curated single flowers from the florist, personally picked wildflowers, or the left-overs from your last bouquet, using vases you already own.
ZODIAC PATTERNS, CELEBRATING STEMS
The perforated patterns in the 12 different Flower Constellations are derived from the signs of the Zodiac, creating a playful distribution of the flowers in the vase.
The design is loosely inspired by floral artform Ikebana, celebrating the beauty and composition of single flowers.
DESIGNED FOR FUNCTION & FUN TO GIFT
The durable brass Flower Constellations can be used again and again. Their clever 2d design allows the flat brass disk tools to expand and fit vases with diameters ranging from 6,5 to 12 cm.
With colorful expressive packaging, the Flower Constellations make a fun floral gift with a personal touch.

EASY TO USE
To use the constellations, lay the brass tool centered on top of the vase and, with both hands, push the inner circle downwards for fixation.
Use the cut out pattern to easily place your flowers, distributing them over the full diameter of the vase.
Have fun with your flowers, move them around, explore different options and don't be afraid to cut some stems.

WRITTEN IN THE STARS
CONSTELLATION: A group of stars forming a recognizable pattern that is traditionally named after its apparent form or identified with a mythological figure. (Source: Oxford dictionary)
We've created 12 Flower Constellations with patterns matching the arrangements of stars in the 12 signs of the Zodiac.
The number and positioning of the stars in each star sign determines the size of the brass tool, resulting in 6 smaller (D10) and 6 larger (D13) constellations fitting vases with diameters ranging between 6,5 and 12 cm.
Choose which Flower Constellation you like best, based on your own star sign or simply by your preference for size and pattern. - Click for an overview of all 12 Flower Constellations
DESIGNED TO LAST
The Flower Constellations are made from brass: an alloy of copper and sink. Today, almost 90% of all brass alloys are recycled.
Brass has been historically used for musical and scientific instruments, where a combination of precision, high workability and durability is desired.
PACKAGING & SHIPMENT
Each Flower Constellation comes in expressive packaging with artwork in line with the characteristics of the corresponding star sign, making it a stylish functional gift with a personal touch.
The flat design means the Flower Constellations are easy to store and can be delivered to your doorstep via regular mail.
THE OLDSKOOL TOOL
There’s no app.
We did not develop smart software, and the Flower Constellations will not turn you into an Ikebana artist in an instant.
What this tool will do, however, is make it fun and easy to create unique floral arrangements in no-time, with your own hands.
No tech needed.
WHAT WE NEED FOR THE NEXT STEP
We’ve calculated that we need to raise at least €5.400,-.
The money will go towards the preparation of printing plates, etch frames, die-cutters and all other initial expenses, as well as material and production costs for a first batch.

TIMELINE / BACK STORY
Two years ago, we designed a little metal frame that would easily hold your avocado-pits in a glass of water: the pit-frame.
We designed it to be flat-pack and fit a variety of jars and glasses.
A large Dutch Garden center opted to produce it, but ran into management-issues and production stalled.
Last year we took matters back into our own hands and developed the Flower Constellations: based on the same flat-pack multi-fit principle, but for flowers and with an improved design.
After a year of designing, testing, tweaking, modeling and prototyping, our Flower Constellations are all set for production.
We have a reliable production partner lined up, and are ready for the next step.
Having our friends and family fall in love with the product just like we did, gave us the right amount of confidence to set up this Kickstarter Campaign.
SUCCESS & FULFILMENT
After achieving our funding goal, and a little bubbly celebration, we'll be getting busy sending surveys to all supporters in order to collect your Flower Constellation preferences.
The Flower Constellations will be ready for worldwide shipment as early as this August.
If we exceed our initial funding goal, we have a few stretch goals lined up.
First one is the development of the improved design for our Pit-Frame, or, in this case: the Propagation Constellation.
Other stretch goals will be revealed during our campaign.
We so hope to make it to €24.000,- so we can start working on the XL Solar System.
THE TEAMHouse of Thol was established in 2013 by Thomas Linssen and Jana Flohr, who decided to put their matching skill-sets to use in an all-round design studio focused on durable, affordable and well-made design solutions for a green every day.
Thomas and Jana's first project was Waterworks: a natural plant-watering system that the duo successfully crowdfunded in 2014.
Plant-hack Waterworks was nominated for the 2015 German Design Awards and is now being sold in design- and urban gardening stores around the world.

Some people we want to thank for their support, their high quality contribution and their all-round awesomeness:
Paul Wijkmeijer (Flower Stylist extraordinaire), Masha Bakker (the best eye and photographs), Rens van Meegen (skilled filmmaking), and of course all friends and fellow creators who took the time to provide us with valuable feedback:
Thank you! There would have been no way we'd have gotten even this far without you.
Risks and challenges
This is not our first Crowdfunding campaign, In 2013 we successfully crowdfunded our design Waterworks, which went on to be nominated for a German design award and is now keeping thousands of plants happy all over the world.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE
We are a design studio with over 10 years of experience under our belt and developed products in several levels of complexity both in collaboration with labels and companies, as well as on our own accord.
With this product being rather straightforward, we do not expect to run into major trouble when it comes to keeping up with our schedule.
However, we do know things can go wrong at all times, and mostly when you don’t expect them to. That’s why we added a little buffer and have been conservative when it comes to estimating manufacturing and shipping times.
WE'LL DELIVER ON OUR PROMISE
We are confident we will be able to follow through on our promise to deliver a quality product and ship on time, keeping you updated on our progress regularly.
If, at any time, you feel the need to get in touch, don’t hesitate to do so, we’ll be happy to answer any question.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
