About this project
A code sequence with three actions on an “invisible keypad” made up of all the electrical devices within the car’s cabin.
The Goodlock mechanism blocks the car’s starter motor whenever someone tries to move the car without using the activation code. And since the code is only known to the driver of the vehicle, only he can directly actívate the sequence. Not even the technician who installs the system will know the car’s registered code (unless the driver installs the system on his own).

A series of three actions compose it. Each car owner chooses the “actions” they wish and the sequence they desire.
There are more than 13 thousand possible combinations!
And totally invisible to any thief's sight!
Goodlock Invisible security system doesn’t require a key with a microchip, a long distance commando or a keypad which can be stolen, copied or cloned.
We all have routine: things we do every time we enter the car’s cabin before turning on the engine. Why not turn those habits into a security system? Each code can be personalized and be programmed by you.
It all began when our car was stolen. At first one is left with the sensation that this can’t be happening. But when you look again, your car isn’t parked where you left it and then anger steps in. You get angry, you throw a couple of swearwords in the air and finally you are left with a feeling of impotence… What do you do now? We all think we are immune, that those things happen to others and not to us, but they do. Crime doesn’t choose who it affects We refused to be left with the feeling of anger or impotence, so we decided to take action and create Goodlock, an invisible anti-theft security system for vehicles.
Goodlock has characteristics that differentiate it from other security systems that promise to protect your automobile. We invite you to get to know them:
Invisible: Invisible system that blocks the car’s ignition (there are no keypad or other vulnerable devices visible).
It doesn’t matter if the key is stolen: Even if a thief has a copy of the key, the vehicle will only start with the correct code.
It doesn’t disconfigure: The electronic circuit operates based on a dedicated logical sequence. There are no microcomputers that require special software. In hostile electric environments, such as in motorized vehicles, the systems based on my microcomputer technology tend to disconfigure.
It will never leave you stranded: While the car is not in use, Goodlock doesn’t consume energy. There is therefore no risk of the battery losing charge when you don’t use your car for a prolonged period of time.
Higher level of Security: Our system has the capacity to interrupt up to 4 critical parts of the electric circuit. This prevents the engine from starting. Three of them are based on small slave devices connected to the principal system.
Inhabiliting Switch: The system includes a hidden switch which allows the driver to inhabilitate the system in order to let a third party use the vehicle without the obligatory code.
Goodlock is compatible with all vehicle types, although the initial model is designed for vehicles that use 12 volts.
Like all great entrepeneuring stories, we began working in a small workshop in one of our partners’ house. Alejandro Mackay Barriga, our CTO, used his manual ability to design and construct a series of precision tools which made it possible for us to have a line of production, where we built and tested our first models.
We are now working on the new model, in order to give you a better product, more efficient and smaller. We developed a new board, testing and improving the original design with the help of an important chilean university's lab.
Pivot time taken until we reached the final design: 12 months
This R&D process has taken place in the initial phase of the project. The group has pivoted from the “initial board design” all the way through “Vehicle tests and Validation” sub processes, three times until the beta prototype proved to be a robust solution for any 12 V. vehicle. Now, the same circuit design is being implemented in a more modern board, making it smaller, more reliable, easier to assemble for the manufacturer and easier to install for the customer.
Estimated time: 18-22 weeks
This is manufacturing process that will take place with the resources raised through the Kickstarter campaign. The international circuit manufactured has been fully validated by the company and by our strategic partners. Thanks to the support of the Chilean bureau export agency, the group has access to special courier fees that will guarantee the delivery process.
The installation of a Goodlock system is similar to that of other anti-theft devices and alarms, but takes a Little longer. This has a direct effect on the level of security the system provides, because uninstalling the system is also a complex process and requires time. Time that a thief doesn’t have.
The installation period varies on the car model, between 1h 30m and 3h.
Goodlock recommends the system be installed in a specialized workshop, but because we know that car lovers sometimes prefer improving their cars themselves, we have developed an online video-manual so that you can install it easily, on your own.
