Happy New Year to you all. Here’s an update where I’m up to with Monkey.
The Bad News: We’re still not at the finish line. A combination of illness of my proofreader and Christmas slow down, pretty much wrote off December.
The Good News: My proofreader has picked up the slack and done the first round of suggested edits over the Christmas break! So this week I sit down and go through the book and carefully go through the proofed version, addressing any issues and applying fixes. Then it goes back to be rechecked, by a couple of good folks who help me and then straight into the layout. Also, Dan Barker has been finishing off the last couple of pieces for the book. A few inspirational pieces that came to me late in the day. So I reckon late Jan to mid-Feb for the pdf release, with a March print release, given that it takes another two to four weeks with DriveThrouRpg.com. Thank you for your patience.
Monkey on Tour! If you are in the UK you’ll be able to catch me at the following UK Conventions running the Mandate of Heaven, aka the Mega-Monkey: 7 Hills in Sheffield (24-25 March) and Continuum in Leicester (20-23 July). I’ll also be at Furnace back in Sheffield ( 7-8 October), but by then I’ll either be running standalone games Monkey or have a new Mega Monkey (possibly the entirety of the Ministry of Thunder over three three-hour game slots). I have plans to be at Dragonmeet, with a nice lucky red themed stall and Monkey in full effect, but that’s way off in December.
No matter what we are in the final stages of production and 2018 will be the year of the Monkey!
All the best
P.S Here's the chapter-page for If you Meet Buddha on the Road, now in glorious colour, by Dan Barker.
