Greetings Glorious Backers and Curious Onlookers

First off Happy New Year! I hope the festive season has been treating you well :)

This were we are up to with the main rule book. The new content has been written and I’ve been gradually going through the first draft making sure it makes sense. I.e. a very through self-edit. This has taken longer than expected because currently the new material comes to 130 pages! If you remember back to the Kickstarter I was talking about 100 pages worth. Well even keeping it low on the waffle, I’ve ended up with a 1st draft of expanded material about a third bigger than I expected The good news is that all the additional art for the new content for the main rulebook has been done by David the artist. Here are the finished examples below of stuff I showed you the sketches back in December’s update, the Serpent Noble in all its devious glory and the savage Beast Hybrid.

Also I have a professional editor on board who is also a gamer to go through the entire text and do corrections. Typos and editing was a big bugbear of the 1st Edition and with my friend John, who is a professional contract editor in his day job, on board I hope to beat it once and for all. I’m not going to give a firm deadline for the book being done, until I’ve had a good chat with John about how long proofing will take. I don’t foresee it taking more than 1-2 months, but this is without talking to John so don’t hold me to that. As soon as I have an accurate estimate I will report that to you.

While the proofing is being done, this gives me the opportunity to go through the adventure modules and finish off the writing that they need and commission art from David. I’ll give you update on where the modules are in my next update, which I’m anticipating will be in mid-January.

Thank you for your patience.

All the best
