Uni-Directional Peeling (UDP) results from over 2 years’ dedicated effort of UNIZ R&D team. By reducing the up-and-down peel to one-directional peel action, UDP sets a new world record of 3D printing speed to over 700mm/hr z-axis speed, without the necessity of pure oxygen or exotic separation materials.
How We Got Here
After setting a new standard for speed and quality 3D printing with our SLASH desktop printer, we are back with updated versions – the SLASH +/OL, as well as a suite of new industrial grade printers that satisfy every need from prosumer to professional. As described in our previous campaign, to print at super-fast speed, the extensive amount of heat generated during exposure must be removed via convection. Luckily, cooling is also the key to achieve UDP speed. Keeping the curing interface cool enabled ultra-low peeling force with our engineered separation material, and together with special tweaks in resin formula plus other hardware upgrades, here comes the UDP.
UDP Powered 3D Printers
The new line of UNIZ 3D printers make incredible improvement in printing speed using UDP technology. Some of these systems are built on our current LCD-SLA design. Using specially engineered materials, RI-matched cooling, improved light-engine, and evolved resin formula, these UDP equipped LCD-SLA systems can achieve printing speed of over 100x that of conventional FDM, Laser-SLA, and DLP-SLA printing technologies. Now, for the first time ever, anyone can enjoy world's top 3D printing speed and professional-grade quality with a simple and intuitive interface.
The SLASH +/OL is perfect for consumers artists, and designers. It is a full-featured desktop 3D printing solution that performs perfectly for a wide variety of applications including arts and crafts, rapid prototyping, tooling, and a range of small manufacturing applications.
With a WQXGA ultra-high resolution IPS LCD screen and ball-bearing screw (10 µm z axis), SLASH+ is capable of delivering industrial grade accuracy and details with XY resolution of 75 μm (SLASH OL is software locked to 150μm, online upgradable). Using LCD contact exposure technology and UDP technology, the SLASH +/OL series provides industrial grade accuracy and details at a fraction of cost.

The sleek, compact design and one-touch print control of the SLASH series makes them the perfect desktop printer for any workshop or studio.
SLASH is designed to deliver amazing 3D printing quality and speed while also being easy to use. The included software is compatible with a variety of desktop and mobile platforms and includes cloud integration for sharing and publishing your creations. Connected your SLASH priner wirelessly to a smart device, you can watch your creations or those of others emerge with a few simple touches. The UDP printing profiling is also added to the UnizCloud to ensure seam-less sharing with the new technology.
The Bigger the Better
This is the PRO version of SLASH which has doubled z-axis build envelope (matching Carbon3D M2), with the newly equipped UDP technology, this printer is capable of outputting a full size adult shoe-sole in less than 40 minutes. This is a perfect solution for professionals who needed the extended build envelope in a desktop setup.
All SLASH series printers can share 5 types (and growing) of functional resins, which could deliver high resolution prints within the entire build volume with versatility. zUDP is the first resin possessing UDP printing capability, we are also adjusting the formula of other resins to be able to print in UDP mode.
Our new industrial 3D printer, zSLTV-M is equipped with the world’s first side-exposure-UDP (se-UDP) technology. The key idea behind se-UDP is that any material has a limit of specific-strength, which means a material will eventually break by gravity when it is long enough. The as-printed photopolymer resin unfortunately has quite low specific-strength and posing a low limit on the longest structure that can possibly be printed using top-down approach. In order to counter the gravity induced break limit, we implemented the submerged side-exposure design using floatation force of the uncured resin to defy gravity on the printed parts, thus enabling reliable and accurate printing of ultra large structures at UDP speed which is over 200x faster than conventional FDM and laser-SLA technologies.
Bigger, Better, Faster
zSLTV-M has 89um XY resolution, 3x build area(330x190mm XY) compared to SLASH (or Carbon3D M2), and a blistering fast printing speed of up to 3,000 cc/hr solid output speed or 45,000cc/hr z-envelope speed (700mm/hr z-axis speed), making it the fastest SLA 3D printer in the world to date.

As many of our loyal backers know, this is not our first crowdfunding campaign and not our first 3d printers. Over the past 2 years, we have proven ourselves to be the most innovative player in the desktop 3D printer industry. Our amazing team of engineers and designers have an obsession for perfection and have spent more than 2 years designing, testing and developing the exciting new UDP technology.
We have completed and tested working versions of all new printers with UDP capability and our production capacity, logistics, and support are extremely capable.
